Place Here module

("Place here" was suggested by a user as name for the 1.5 version of the previous "content item module" for J! 1.0.x).
A module to show Articles in module positions. Some options might be mutually exclusive. The module offers different templates and not every parameter is supported by every template. Tag support only works for the Tag module from http://www.joomlatags.org/
Some documentation is here: http://diebesteallerzeiten.de/blog/category/manual/, but when in doubt post a comment or write an e-mail (some people won't listen to what I say, though; I cannot help those).
Download Links are in the sidebar of my homepage ("Module for 1.5" or ""Content Item Module" for the 1.0.x version).
As of today (March 13th) I finally started developement of an updated version for 1.6.
What is most important - It generates Valid Xhtml!
... not like Article As Module
But there is one thing which is not so awesome:
Sometimes it happen you need to insert article into module. Sometimes it happen you need to insert module into article.
And in my case I needed to insert article which contained module {loadposition user1} and Place here displays the command as plain text instead of embed another module.
But this was particular case ...
Awesome module, I wish I had found it earlier without wasting so much time searching for others.
A truly great module. I have it working well but am having difficulties using it on the Joomla front page of the site I am developing.
I am using the meta tag method of linking the proper left column with the article displaying in the right column - main content article. It works great on every page except for the Joomla front page.
Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong, or maybe an alternative method to link this column in?

I had a very simple need. Allow my customers the freedom to admin left and right module/column content via the frontend editor.
I have been running into the same stumbling block with customers and decided to address this issue as it was mentally taxing, time consuming and was leading to an overall negative experience for both the customers and myself.
For me this "Place Here Module" was a breath of fresh air as I tried others that just didn't work as advertised. As well there was no need for the cryptic "{article}{/article}" type syntax. With this your given an amazing menu to choose from. Imagine that.. ;p
I recreated existing custom module content into articles. Loaded up the "Place Here Module", configured the options like any other module has on the left part of the page. Then on the right part of the module configuration page were all the Article options. Gave it the article id, module suffix, and turned on and off other options as needed. Saved... and WhaLa!!!!
Logged into the frontend of the site with my customers credentials and to my amazement they can now edit the module content to their hearts desire.
Keep in mind, this module has tons more options than what I used it for, but thankfully it was intuitive, effective and simple.
No my customers can turn that frown upside down. ;p
I can edit the articles when I load the com_content module, but when I load other component like a sitemap, or the "contacts" component my place_here modules are not editables.
This makes sense since the libraries and all that stuff that allows you to edit an article are not loaded, but does anybody knows a way I can import them in the modules?
Regarding this:
I've used it once - and it worked perfectly!
But I'm interested in such a thing: can I display an article (or a category of them) in such pop-up plugins as RokBox (or others) using your one?

I think rokBox only works with the Rockettheme templates and you need a subscription for those, so I haven't tested it. If you can convince the Rockettheme guys to let me have their stuff for developement purposes then I will see if I can make it work.
Rokbox is free and works with templates other than Rockettheme's:
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/multimedia/multimedia-display/5095
thanks for pointing that out ( I admit I didn't do much research on that), I'll see if I can make it work.
You are the same person who posted by the name of "owl" on my webpage, aren't you? And you did not even bother to read the documentation links I gave you.
Thanks for the great work. Keep going.
