So far, no issues with this extension. It works for Joomla 1.0 and 1.5 which is always a good thing, for me. If you need to incorporate a component's functionality into an article then this is the plugin I shall be using. It has been around for a while so all bugs fixed it would seem. Good job!

I realized the I would not be able to use it with SEF urls (with apache mod rewrite ON), so I gave it a 'Good' rating for those who are not particular about the url part, had it worked with the SEF urls I would have given it an Excellent. BTW, I won't be using this plugin due to the above mentioned problem, once it is sorted out I will willingly use it (provided I haven't found an alternative).

This extension is another of those 'simple' ideas that is worth its weight in gold. It does what it says it will do and turns some excellent components into fantastic ones just by allowing them to be placed effectively without requiring a menu option. Respect to Omar for this superb plugin.
Omar Muhammad, the developer went way out of his way to help me. Easy to install. I had a problem, sent him an email & got back an immediate response. He stayed with me to make sure everything ran smooth. He is both a gentleman & a scholar. I come from the old school. I would recommend to anyone any of his services. He walked me through to increase the width of the component of the page & auto hide for a calendar I am using. You can adapt it for many components: {comascon}option=com_rsappt_pro14&view=Booking%20Screen%20GAD&Itemid=162|w=1000|h=auto{/comascon}

Very easy to use plugin working good but only problem is when it used components with 2 or more pages after clicking next the page become mixed like two menus , two frames.

I followed reviewer johnthompsonline's fix and modified line 80 "...Change src='index2.php?' to src='/index2.php' ..."
And it works with sh404sef. Just make sure, which using SH404sef, you use the non sef url rather than the sef url.
Example: Don't use the SH404sef friendly url:
{comascon}/yourSH404sef/whatever.html{/comascon}
Use instead: (as an example)
{comascon}option=com_phocagallery&view=category&id=2{/comascon}

For the version 1.5.2, I had to replace in the file "/plugins/content/comascon.php" in the line 159 :
src='index2.php?' by src='/index2.php?'

This plugin is very handy but I had problems when SEF URLs is enabled. The fix I worked out is a small modification in the code on line 80 of plugins/content/comascon.php:
Change src='index2.php?' to src='/index2.php'
Change src='index2.php?' to src='/index2.php'
This appears useful if the component you are wrapping in an article has no component links. But I tried to wrap a Community builder user list with it so that I could have access to the Print/PDF/Email icons. When I click on any list navigation buttons (next/last/etc), it shows the entire website in the frame. I did it again in the window and got yet another frame within the frame within the frame... Gee, I'm gettin' dizzy.

Very nice plugin! Just what I needed. One thing I'm seeing happen on my site is when it first loads the page, the component that I embedded into the content initially shows up black, then loads the white background color that I specified. Anybody else have this issue? Little help would be appreciated!

hi,
this is the way the plugin works, it loads the css and the background color via javascript after 3 seconds from page loading.. you can change this by editing the plugin's php file, find and replace 3000 for whatever time you think acceptable, like 500 for instance, and see if it works out for you..

I wanted to link to Kunena on a content page. It works fine when first loaded but if the user hits one of the tabs, the component as content box refreshes showing the complete header of the site (that is everything that would show if I hit a menu item for the forum). Suggests or a work around would be appreciated. Otherwise, this shows lots of potential.
This was a very good plugin. It helped me embed some components with content, which I otherwise could not obtain the visual effect and functionality I needed on my clients site using Joomla.
