At the moment, Jlord Media Plus (version 1.0) is not yet ready to offer much more than what the Media Manager can do, apart from the Drag and Drop, and modal preview. Admittedly, it is still just version 1.0. Nevertheless, this extension can be great if/when the following issues and suggestions are considered and/or implemented:
(1) The tree of folders to the left should not collapse fully or partially after a file or folder is dragged and dropped, especially if there is no change in the tree's structure. It should stay open as before. Otherwise, it can be a bit tedious or annoying to manually upfold the collapsed folders.
(2) If a drag is accidental or unsuccessful for any reason, its residual effect should not be a pop-up modal window showing the media file. In other words, the modal window for viewing a media file should only open upon a mouse-click.
(3) As far as I can ascertain, only one file or folder can be dragged and dropped at any time. Allowing multiple files and/or folders to be dropped could be very useful and desirable.
(4) Files and/or folders should be able to be dragged and dropped onto the tree of folders to the left if possible.
(5) It should be worthwhile to allow the node(s) and subnode(s) of the tree to be dragged and dropped within the tree and also across the Files window to the right.
(6) The possibility of allowing a frontend equivalent.
(7) Security: Allowing different levels of permission to be conferred on (different types of) users by the super-administrator for some or all of these media-file operations.
All in all, a fair extension with great potentials!
