WAFL achieves device-specific content adaptation for Joomla!.
This plugin supports 3 modes of operation. The selected mode will be activated when the plugin detects that a request is coming from a mobile device:
1) Template Switching: You will be able to select a template that will be used for mobile requests. Our plugin also contains a mobile template, which can be used.
2) Mobile Redirect: The visitor will be redirected to a URL that you can specifiy.
3) Siruna: When this mode is activated, the plugin will redirect any mobile requests to an instance of the Siruna platform. It will also deliver a mobile template (enriched with information for Siruna) to requests coming from the Siruna platform.
WAFL stands for "Website Adaptation and Formatting Layer".
Some features:
* Dynamically adapt pages according to the device (such as, for example, resizing images based on the screen width). (only available in mode 3)
* Automatically generate a mobile template, based on an installed Joomla! desktop template (only available in mode 1 and 3).
* Shorten articles on the mobile version of the page with a customized "Read-more" plugin.
* Collaborates with the integrated Joomla! cache.
* Fast and accurate device detection.
* Easy "one zip uploading" installation.

I was thinking for days how to solve reading my site on mobile devices, i tried some solutions but neither one of them was that much easy as yours. i must say THANK U, excellent extension

Seamless use took me about 5 seconds to get working. You simply pick what you want displayed. Use the WAFL template looks awesome.
I use a custom frontend template with loads of customization but this dropped right on top without a peep.

All seemd to be fine, all checks passed. But when I tried to open the component I go a blank page and nothing is working. Front-end Back-end, everything is EMPTY!

sorry braser, but I would suggest you to read the WAFL manual. If I check your server, I get: X-Powered-By: PHP/4.4.7 .... while we warn users not to install our extension if PHP4 is used!
version and permission checks will be included in the next release of WAFL.

didnt work after install 404 error on trying to enter component admin
crashed the site after uninstalling , had to recover by manually setting the plugin to off in the database
there is no way i can see to get support on the website
great idea , but will wait till there's a forum on their site and it progresses a few versions

Please remember that this software is still in an alpha stage. Nonetheless, an error like this just shouldn't happen.
A forum is on its way. Would you be so kind to post your problems on it when it's up?
Also, keep in mind that this plugin does not support PHP4 or older.

Great documentation! Easy to install and configure. Although this didn't exactly meet my needs, it was a good extension nonetheless.
