With four parameters :
* Deactivate mootools.js
* Deactivate caption.js
* Change mootools.js file
* Define the news Mootools librairy file
Brilliant! Just Brilliant! I had a persistant problem with stupid empty captions for links in modules - I couldn't stop links moving right on hover - this plugin knocked it on the head! It took me days to figure out it was MooTools doing it - days and days of work - drove me insane - all solved in 10 seconds by MooTools Control. Brilliant! It worked instantly. Very simple and easy config too.
In combination with Google Ajax Library plugin, I saved a large chunk of kb on scripts by shutting down mootools and was still able to get and use scripts off of Google. The setting used were all "yes" for this plugin and the Google Ajax Library plugin with 0 in ordering of the system plugins.
I added the Content static plugin with the directory set to cache and htacc-something 2 lines mod and got much better performance.
The results were based on trial and errors and worked for me.

I used this plug-in to replace the standard Mootools library that comes with Joomla so I can use the MenuMatic JavaScript menus (Mootools 1.2+) without errors and downloads of unnecessary JavaScript.
Very easy to install and configure and it works perfectly.
This plug-in only works for guests to the site, but since we won't be using the user functionality of Joomla it is not an issue.
I did have to edit the plug-in to make it work on all pages (by default it only works on pages where article content is rendered, so it didn't work on search pages) while still keeping the original Mootools for the Admin side.

I have just spent 4hrs trying to fix a mootools ie7 ie8 conflict that was completely breaking my joomla infuse template. Anything that required mootools was broken. I installed this extension checked the 'Change mootools.js' box and voila!!
