Now, you can replace the detailed and long looking URL's completely with any URL of your choice. For example, http://www.amazon.com
This plugin utilizes following methods to accomplish this -
- URL Obfuscation using encryption algorithms and keys. So, if the user tries to see the URL in the "View Source" window, he gets to see only encrypted garbage.
- Encryption and keys are managed by the plugin. So no hassles of managing any keys.
- Displays an URL of your choice in browser Statusbar when a user hovers over your text-link or banner Ads. This works with newer browsers like IE 7.0+ and Firefox 3.0+ too.
- When the user clicks on your link then that request is decrypted by the plugin and he is redirected to the target site.
- This re-direction logic is totally implemented and managed by the plugin itself. So, no need to create and write redirection or landing pages.
- Supports target='_blank' attributes. The plugin handles target='_blank' attributes properly so that link opens in new window and visitors remain on your site.
- You can mask multiple links at a time by enclosing them all within masking tags.

After purchasing this product I found it wouldn't work within Sobi2. Vishal modified the product to work with my setup, and now works inside modules and components.
This plugin does exactly what the author indicates... and I guess I'm being a little self-serving when I say that. It replaces links in *articles*.
For me, almost all my ads are in modules... and this plugin doesn't affect those links. Being able to affect the links in my modules would be the cat's meow!
The author says an update that obfuscates the module links is coming. I can't wait. As soon as it's available... I'm installing it.
Otherwise... a very good plugin, well written with good author communication.

Cloak Expert 3.0
The version 3 works exelent On my 2 websites with joomla 1.5.3 and and 1.5.9
Support is Exelent, the tool is necesary, and I highly recommend it to anyone needing to cloak a link.

I initially purchased the version for 1.5, after I installed and configured it, it never worked.
I contacted Vishal and he tested it on 1.5.8 and realized that the changes to 1.5.8 prevented Cloak Expert from working and quickly made a new version for me. This version worked perfectly except it never recognized target="_blank".
I again contacted Vishal and within a few hours I had the newer version that works 100%. On 1.5.8 and on 1.5.9
Support is Great, the tool is Great and I highly recommend it to anyone needing to cloak a link.
