- This extension requires registration to download.
one-line listing views can be configured with up to nine columns using fields of your choice. Directory listings including thumbnail photos are available and configurable with up to 4 columns and 4 lines per contact.
Contacts can be imported from Joomla Contacts, QContacts or uploaded delimited text file. Contacts can also be exported for use in other systems.
Available languages besides English: Danish, Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Norwegian and traditional Chinese/Taiwanese.
I am using Grumpy Contact for keeping records of a Scout group.
Easy to install, and easy too use. And with custom fields that solves the last 5%.
And to peak it, the support is very good. Fast response, and all my questions have been answered within hours.

Purchased then tried to install but to no avail. Eventually found out another component installed on the site was interfering with this extension (Grumpy never mentions that his extension may not be compatible with some other extensions). Installed on fresh joomla and it worked ok but was scattered and very disorganized in appearance. I have asked Bill (grumpy?) through several emails for assistance but I get no response from him. I guess he thinks he doesnt need to support the extension now that it doesnt work on Joomla 1.6+ or higher. Leaves me perplexed that someone would charge for something and then not deliver... oh well, hopefully I can save somebody else their hard earned 30 bucks with this review. BUYER BEWARE, NO SUPPORT AT ALL and extension is not well designed.

I'm truly sorry you are so upset. I've reviewed my correspondence with you from 7/23 through just a couple days ago and made no mention of being so incredibly unhappy. With one exception, which I apologized for, I responded to every email I received from you within a day or two.
I don't understand what happened either.
I wish you had given me some clue that you were this unhappy before writing such a devastating review. Please! contact me via email.
Bought this extension to create a dealer directory for my company. Bill helped me solve numerous jquery issues on my site, and even helped me customize his code to fit our unique needs. Highly recommended.
Needed to build a 'Member's Directory' which would produce a list of people based on their location in the UK. My client supplied the list of about 150 members in Excel, but the versatile CSV import/export made this a breeze to set up.
Lacks any real documentation, but Bill was extremely helpful and responded to my questions very quickly.

Excellent extension and much more versatile than expected. We use it on two sites with different roles and with both we have been able to dispense with stand alone databases & Excel files which could be managed by only one experienced PC user. Now, the many functions of the two sites are easily managed by anyone with a login, directly on the website - and they do not need to be experienced PC users. A great time saver ... and Bill's support is second to none. Well done!
This extension does everything it claims and is a snap to install and manage. What it doesn't tell you is the incredible level of support you get.

Excellent extension..
It allowed me to synch 8500+ user details ready for the users to update.
The customisation for 'custom fields' is great and with a bit of help from Bill, eanbled me to tailor the result perfectly.

Sans aide en ligne ou manuel en français je me suis un peu perdu au démarrage, mais la réactivité et la disponibilité du support de Grumpy est très appréciable et réelle.

We looked at Grumpy because we needed more than Joomla, but nothing as elaborate as some of the socials. We needed to be able to manage relatively large categories of contacts, and we need to be able to present these in a specific way. Grumpy Contacts did that for us. Plus, support has been fantastic. Highly recommend!
This did exactly what I wanted it to do! I had a few road blocks along the way, which had everything to do with my layout (a Mootools conflict), but the developer was willing to go in and fix the problem for me. Fantastic support! Not to mention it's being updated often for new features. I would recommend this solution to anyone!
The extension works great! Easy to setup and update. Very pleased with Grumpy Contacts extension and I am sure my client will be too.
