The name is probably a bit misleading, since it has nothing to do with the popular website www.facebook.com. The name is simply a 1:1 translation from the Dutch name, that was originally given to it.
GBU Facebook allows to to store the following information:
* Name.
* Surname.
* Address.
* Phone at home (for private use).
* Mobile phone at home (for private use).
* Email at home (for private use).
* Phone at work.
* Mobile phone at work.
* Email at work.
* The day of birth.
GBU Facebook will automaticly put a seperator between the private and work related information.
If only private information is entered (not everyone here has a desk with a phone and computer) the seperator
will not be shown.
Since version 1.0.5 the image folder is automatically created during the installation. This is solving the JFolder error, some people where complaining about. This error was caused because image the folder was not manually created.
Version 1.0.6 has some security fixes. Users of older versions are urged to update to the latest version.

I'm using this and very satisfied.
Where can i change the date format?
One minor thing is that there are no contact details from the developer and therefore no support.

I tried the latest version v1.0.8 of this component today and found many bugs:
1. No validation for fields, you can input %?= symbols in the Telephone number field, you can use # instead of @ for email.
2. No thumbnail generating function. If you upload a big photo, it will look smaller at frontend, but it was done by SIZE HTML code, NOT real thumbnail. If you check the image filesize you will know the small photo is exactly the same as the big one.
3. Can't handle utf-8 encoded Chinese characters. When I export the addressbook, those Chinese words all became unreadable. This may because we use gb2312 encoding on PC but utf-8 on Joomla website.
4. Fields position wrong in exported CSV file. The Zipcode was exported to Address field, and Work Email was exported to Mobile Home, etc.

This is Exactly what I was looking for. This is a nice component. My only little complain is that I had to look everywhere for the image folder which is in the images/stories folder. also it would be nice to be able to change the page title in the options.

If you need a simple address book then this works out the box! but for us we needed more to make this an awesome product will love to see:
1: Ability to add addresses in the front-end
2: Last contacted date
3: Who spoke with the person last.
4: Ability to write in notes.
Thanks again for a great product.
