Installed very easy, created categories BUT everytime I try to upload a file i get

Warning: Failed to move file!
ERROR UPLOADING FILE

Now I tried removing the spaces in file name, the file size is on 78K so no prob there. Where's the support?

Thanks Ardel for a nifty extension. A tip: no spaces in your file document name, put hyphen or underscore, and it will work perfectly, otherwise it just sees first part of document file name before the space and names the document that.

There is no way for users to upload files. It is very easy to set up files for downloads.

I wanted a download component that was very simple and just worked. This is it - instalation is simple and setting up documents to download the way I wanted was a breeze. Highly recommended

I love the looks of this component, it's simple to use and does what it should: offer files to download, without bells and whistles. Exactly what I like.

Some downsides at the moments are that category order doesn't work for me, as well as blocking it for non logged in users and multi language. What I understand, an update is in the pipeline and I look forward to it. When these things are fixed, it's five stars from me.

Good component if you want things easy and simple.

It would be a real improvement if we can set a category as default in the menu parameters.

I would like to have a menu with several download categories so the end users don't have to browse at all.

Good component that makes it really simple to provide files to customers (entrants for events in my case) ... slight issue that the category and file order sequences don't seem to be possible to change once they are added.

Its easy to use an very simple, but I thought there is also a upload posibility for users at the frontend....but it isn't.

Great concept! Very simple interface - "quick and to the point" file downloads component without all the unnecessary multiple clicks and descriptions which plague all of the other downloads components available for Joomla. There are two serious drawbacks of this component however. The first is, categories can only go one level deep - you cannot have sub-categories. The second drawback is, your files can only be linked to one category. The description says "You can create multiple categories for the file to be uploaded.", however this is not the case. A file can only belong to one category. Fix these two drawbacks and maybe later add the ability to add optional fields and sort by fields - then you'll have the ultimate Joomla downloads component.

This extension would be good but there appears to be no way to use it in the frontend.
There is no accompanying documentation, either.

I just have finish and added the documentation enter on this link

The documentation would show you how to use it in the frontend and others.

Thanks
