Easy to use! You can Use your already typed content items. MooFAQ will use Joomla default content items. This feature enable you to set it up in less the 3 minutes;
So you will have a full featured FAQ with all WYSIWYG Editors features, such as:
* Add images;
* Edit the HTML code;
* Use your template CSS;
* Text formating options: alignment, indentation, bullets list, etc
* Font formatting: type, size, color, style, bold, italic, etc
* Add links and anchors;
* Add MooFAQ to any content item, using the plugin;
* HTML Templates; (NEW)
* And much more...
And you will have all Joomla! content option, such as:
* Publishing: Start and Finish Publishing, Ordering, Author Alias, Access Level;
* Using mosimage and mospagebreak if needed;
* All content plugins (mambots) can be applied to the faq item;
* Compatible with Joom!Fish [1];

I was looking for a FAQ extension that would not have me pulling my hair out of my head due to figuring out how it worked in the Joomla! admin back-end - but - MooFAQ sweetly cuddles my brain cells and it works with a little coaxing. Easy setup and follow through. If you do have a question the forum is an excellent place to ask because you will get a response immediately. That is if the developer is not sleeping. A fantastic extension that should be part of the core Joomla! installation.

MooTools has been out for a while with some nice accordion style functionality. It's great seeing it make its way into a FAQ component where space is commonly limited or simply because you don't want to display all the FAQ content on the initial load.
MooFAQ provides a great way to provide an easy to create, clickable to expand, table of contents.

I am very pleased with "MooFAQ". It was easy to install and looks good on the website,with plenty of CSS to dabble with to get the appropriate styling.
The support from the developer has been brilliant,it took him all of half an hour before he had replied with an updated file for an issue I had come across.

I have been using MooFAQ for a couple of months now.
A couple of times I have run in to some minor challenges getting MooFAQ to work with third party extensions (xmap and JoomSEF).
Every time I have contacted Douglas he has been extraordinary. He has created new plugins in no time to solve whatever problems I have had...
If we were all as diligent and service minded as Douglas the world would be a very different place!

I've tried all of the non-commercial FAQ tools on this site. I was looking for a simple FAQ component with sleek animation. I loved Freestyle FAQ Lite but the pop up questions didn't work in internet explorer (which most of my visitors use), so I purchased this component as a last resort. It's easy to set up and customize, but the sliding animations didn't work in internet explorer. Based on the reviews, it seems like this component comes with great customer service, so I could probably contact them and get it figured out if I wanted. But honestly, I have to *really* like a component to go to the trouble of asking for support, so instead, I got Freestyle's pop ups working on my own. I don't necessarily regret buying this, because it is a nice component and I might use it for something in the future, but I am a bit disappointed that it didn't work right out of the box. It's most likely just an interaction with one of my other modules, so don't let this review turn you off, but know that it doesn't necessarily work "right out of the box" for everyone, like some of the reviews state.
Alright. Here is the deal, I am glad to have this component in my stable.

- free direct email support
- developer is willing to bug fix for you if necessary
- answers support questions in a jiffy (I had 5 questions throughout the day and into the eveving and the average response time was less than 8 minutes!)
- knows what he's doing
- one of the most courteous people I have ever dealt with regarding extensions
Finally the cost $$:
- 15 buck.. that's right only $15 for this

This is a great component - it looks professional, slick, great - I love it!
Easy to install, easy to configue, the support I received from Douglas afterwards was excellent, he helped me with every query I had and I get the feeling he would keep on helping for ever. Great product, Great guy!

I could have bought similar component from another developer but having done business before with the author of MooFAQ I knew I could count on the best support available. I didn´t have to think twice.

After searching across all extensions for a really good FAQ, this is by far the best. The reason I feel this is because mooFAQ uses the native Joomla section and category article component. This means that existing articles can be used and since the native articles are used the default Joomla search engine can search all FAQs. There is really nothing new for your site members to learn. Install is quick and simple, and the author is quick to respond if you have questions.
