Show pdf files on your Joomla web-page! This plugin show (Embed) your pdf files on your Joomla 1.5 and 1.6 page.
You can decide to show your pdf with Google viewer, adobe acrobat reader plugin, Zoho viewer or flash viewer.
To use plugin, just install and add such a line into your content, you like to show the pdf file.
{pdf}http://heinelt.info/pdf/ds_futro_s300.pdf|height:400|width:300|app:google{/pdf}
Choose a height and width for each pdf file and decide the viewer (Google, Acrobat, Zoho, Flash), you would like to use.
>> If Google viewer is used, it also support to display Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and TIFF files !
Advanced features provided, when using Adobe Reader plugin.
You can set, which page of your displayed pdf will displayed, first. Zoom settings, Toolbar On/OFF and many more functions can be set.

Enbed PDF 1.8.1 Beta 3 functions:

This is an excellent extension,it does what it does and without any issues. The only bad part is that since English is not your first language,it is quite difficult to spell most of the stuff properly.

Enbed unless you did it on purpose. But still,you should have someone translate your tutorials for less miscommunication.

Enbed_pdf (not Embed!!) is an open source project and any help, or improvements are very welcome! So if the manual is wrong, or misspelled, your help is very welcome.
Regarding the "n" in Enbed_pdf, you are not the first one, who mentioned about it. I well decided the name Enbed_pdf and not Embed_pdf.

Simple and powerful. I needed a pdf viewer with customizable dimensions. You have created a great tool here, thanks.
I love this extension, its easy to use and works great. The only problem I have had with it is recently I updated from 1.7 to 2.5 and the extension has stopped working.

I used your extension to display pdf catalog (products catalog) in my websites. I search for 1 extension like this many time. Is ok for me if you move link with comment on top of pdf, not bottom.

I tried all non-commercial plugins of this sort and ended up with enbed PDF as my top choice.
easy to configure and worked great for all browsers.
Recently however, it stopped working, even before upgrading to 1.7.4
Really hope all issues are fixed and the extension is updated soon to work with J2.5 as well

I have running Enbed_pdf on several Joomla installation and also on Joomla 2.5. It is working fine there.

hi thanks for this great plugin just wat i needed... at the beginning i has some issue, that i couldnt show my pdf file on the site.. i figured later it was coz of file name.. i named it in Arabic Language.. so renaming it in English solved the problem and now it works perfectly...

I'm very pleased from this add-on. It's easy, work as it should.
You can choose the service that will give you the viewer: google, adobe, zoho or flash.
All works fine besides flash that tend to change the colors of the pdf I've tested.
When changing to adobe, if Chorme is your browser it will be shown by Chrome internal pdf viewer (unless you change it in preferences of Chorme).
Zoho can't work with several fonts and languages.
As it stated you can choose the dimensions (width+height) that you want to place - works perfectly.
Nothing wrong against it - do what it should, easy and perfect.

For so long I have wanted to add Acrobat files to my site - many of the members of my community send these to me to display and I have been embarrassed being unable;
then I found this extension.
I had some initial issues that were most likely my doing, so I contacted Heinelt.
Despite it being very late in Japan, he attended to to my issues immediately and persisted to get a result and with such enthusiasm and service that I wish I could get everywhere these days.

I tried this plug in on 1.5.22 but as soon as I activated it then in preview my front page disappeared!? I thought it's up to me but each time after activated this plugin site "disappear". Abilities of this plugin are nice but in this case it works not for me but I would like to use it.
I stayed away from extensions that required you embed a code somewhere, this extension has helped me overcome that fear of embedded codes. It is so easy to use, it took me less time to install and use than more traditional extensions. Thank you very much developer, it has helped me a lot! All you do is to embed this code:
{pdf}images/yourdocument.pdf{/pdf}. That is all you need to do in Joomla 1.7.

I works fine in Firefox and Chrome. I had a bit of a problem to make it work in ie. Found the solution, Enable Proxy to yes in the plugin, it works like a charm in all the above browsers. Support excellent. Many thanks
Very nice plugin, easy to install
I use this in conjunction with the 'Linkr' plug-in in order to open .pdf's within my website pages and these two plug-ins work flawlessly together. I have no idea why either of these functions aren't part of the Joomla core but thanks to both Dev's, these are an integral part of my website functionality!

Excellent extension. Simple configuration. Should have a button to browse the files, isn't comfortable for the end user to put tags and the url.

It was a bit tricky for me at first but after keeping at it and reading the comments of others it finally came together and works for me.
It would be helpful to have step by step instructions as the instructions got mixed up with the comments.
