This extension is a module to display a list of your weblinks in a module on your Joomla website. As long as the weblink is published and approved, it will display. The default is to list 2 but you can set as many as you like. It is intended to work out-of-the-box with minimal setup (like the rest of my extensions - lazy Joe).
If you don't have pictures of the websites you link to, this module can generate these (by retrieving from a specified service and using a server-side cURL function - and then stores these to not keep downloading them) or you can create/upload the images yourself using Joomla Media Manager.
I've simplified the process so this version allows any "Administrator" or "Super User" (or Specified Joomla! Group(s)) to generate the thumbnails on-the-fly with just a click of a button. Did I mention this is all OpenSource and FREE?

So sorry it didn't work for you Alexander. I am currently rewriting this to use the Mootools files included in Joomla 1.6 to be more useful (due to be released as v2.0). The version currently available simply displays images and text in a table format, so I agree not as manageable and flexible as we'd like. Hopefully the next version will be more to your taste!
Really, fantastic. This module, not only links to desired webs also it is capable of generate thumbs of the webs. The look is very nice. I had a small problem due I am novice, and joel, inmediately support me helping and writting personally to answer my novice questions. Works perfectly in joomla 1.7.
What a wonderful extension and amazing support. After upgrading to v1.7, I searched and searched for a tool to use for my portfolio. After install, I came across a few issues that were primarily a result of my template and the editor I was using. I emailed the developer and he graciously answered all my questions with an extreme amount of patience. I was so excited to get a resolution and would recommend this fabulous extension to anyone.
