It takes a while to figure it out, it took me about six hours. When you get the hang of it, LOOK OUT! It is a wonderful Componnent that will do what you want it to do with your link section. You do not have to adapt your links to the component ;-) 1A from me!!!

Just stopped by to pick up the latest version for a new site and thought I'd add my two cents. Does everything promised and much more and the support is unparalleled. Couldn't be happier a year on.

Very good indeed, the component is the most flexsible one I had used, though the setting seems a little bit complex at first, but if you can be patient and give em some try, you realised they are just amazing to adjust everything as you intend to.

Excellent work, and thx for the great support, too! Looking forward to some new existing features!

I do a lot with link directories. I just wanted something for my own tech bookmarks - mostly Joomla, php and mySQL - that the public could turn so clients on to. This worked.

It looks good right out of the box and has lots of ways to display the data. Just very smooth all the way through the process.

I found Bookmarks on Friday, installed it then played with over the next three days. By Monday night I'd got about sixty bookmarks sorted through and loaded onto my multimedia site and I can get to them from anywhere.

This is a very happening thing

if you need a bookmark-feature, here you find it. endless possibilities.

disadvantage: feature-richness needs time - trial-error in setup. you will get lost. better switch off most and switch on step by step. otherwise you will get lost. is there a chance to have "simple /advanced" in "control-panel"?

and the design? well, better change to personal icon-sets (which is no problem, of course), default it looks "aehem" :-). the brownish snapshot credit is realy, realy ugly. only for that reason i don´t use the snaphot-system.

anyway, great...

This is a great component. Not only does it work well, the developer provides documentation and is very involved in the forum to reply to and give feedback on questions users have.

Keep up the good work!!

If you would provide a web link directory for your visitors on your site, I make bold to say Bookmarks is the best choose for you - it can compare with the commercial components in its category. It can fetch the meta description of the added link, one link can be stored in several categories. From v2.7_1s Beta it can obtain Google PageRank. The links can be rated and recommended by the users. I got surprised at the multifunctional module system: Copies of just one module needed to display the stats, the latest additions, the top rated bookmarks depending on your settings.

Its usage a bit complicated: it would spare some time for its users if it fetched the title, the description and the keywords by one click, what the user would modify when necessary.

Wow - talk about being more than I expected. I had just finished adding 40 links to my weblinks component on my site http://www.aerialarchaeology.com when I came across this extension. I decided to give it a try and was so impressed I was going to manually move all of my links over when I saw it could import from Weblinks (among others) directly. One click and Viola! It was done.

Awesome work.
