What's new in BF Auction v1.2.0
^ Changed installation method to upgrade, and added code to auto upgrade existing BF Auction versions (v1.0 or greater)
* Path Disclosure Vulnerability fixed - Thanks Brian Teeman
^ Bid and Current bid changed from INT to FLOAT with 2 decimal places
+ Product ID
# Timezone fix when user was in different timezone to site. Now BF Auction only uses timezone in global config.
# Fixed disclaimer being displayed between pages when you have more than 20 auction items.
^ Redirect returns to item on bid rather than item list view.
# fixed php notices
+ Category menu item parameter to allow you to restrict view to one category only.
$ Added nl-NL language file - Thanks Geert Poel
This FREE component just plain works. Yes there are a few enhancements that could be added but, remember, it's free. It is perfect for our school fundraising auction.
Response from the developer was swift, polite and informative. I look forward to hearing how the Pro version develops and plan to upgrade when the next version (1.3) is released.
Great job Tim and great support. BF Auction has saved me time and money already.

Who will be satisfied with such a simple auction component? You even can't use WYSIWYG editor for the item description field.
It is difficult to assign image and you can only assign one image for each item. The frontend "thumbnail" of this image is acturally just a HTML resize, not real thumbnail. When you click on this "thumbnail", there is NO pop-up(such as lightbox), but open the full-size image in new window!
The worst is, it can't refresh the current bid automatically. Don't you know there is something called AJAX?
After a long time, this component is still so simple like a doll for a child. I noticed that the author has several Joomla extensions in hand. If you are too busy, please just focus on one product and make it a good product. Thanks.

The component is simple and just does the job.
You have to keep in mind that it is still at early stages of development.
For example, a must is to have categories!
and more component-menu link options
I'm sure the developer (Tim if I m not wrong) will turn this into a real gem in the future.
Great support in the forums btw - even with the couple of bugs found so far. Otherwise it's bug free:)
