  • This extension requires registration to download.
I was a bit hesitant about purchasing JAccounts after reading the mixed reviews posted around the internet. I had very set rules for how I needed my invoicing solution to fit into my website, so just to make sure that I was buying the right thing I telephoned the Extreme Joomla office.

I have to say that, although not always the quickest in replying, the contact and support that I received from the Extreme Joomla team was fantastic. JAccounts didn't fit in with what I wanted it to do for my website but the support team made all of the necessary changes for me so that it did. Free of charge! This is not something that can be said about many commercial extensions listed here.

JAccounts is a quick and simple solution for sending invoices to your sites registered users. It works well and for what it does, it is great value for money.

The only thing that I would have liked to see would have been a bit more information on the Extreme Joomla website about installing, configuring and using JAccounts. This said, it hasn't prevented me from giving them a 5 star rating.

It could be a great component but i cannot use it to create an invoice with more taxes like the professional (not commercial) invoice.
I cannot inset partial payment if my costumers don't pay all the invoice's amount.
I hope that it'll be completed.
This componet is very expensive but it isn't complete.
Bye.

JAccounts is a great component if you need a quick, straight forward, invoicing system on your website. For me, it worked perfectly and exactly as advertised but once I began setting it up, I realized I needed some specific functions that weren't there. I contacted their Support Team to find out if they could be added added to their wish-list. Despite not being able to use JAccounts as is, I was so impressed with their rapid and professional response, I decided to post a review based on their professionalism; which is a welcome encounter comparatively speaking.

Unlike other seemingly unsupported products that sit here, error-ridden, incomplete and left to die on the vine, based on my interaction with them, I firmly believe these guys are committed to the long run. I will be watching with anticipation to be proven right. I already have my eye on JForce 2.0.

I bought three modules - jproject, jaccounts and jcontacts. I could not get any of them to work the way their demo shows. I contacted them and I have not heard any resolution. My support ticket is still open 2 weeks later without anyone contacting me. I also opened a ticket with Paypal in hopes they would contact me through there and never heard anything. I get lots of errors with their software which I listed below. This was just the ones I posted on the support ticket. I have yet to get support via AIM which they say is always connected Mon-Fri durinf normal business hours.

Stay far away from this software. I wasted $250 and never got the software working or support promised....

Looking at the bad reviews below, I'd have to assume that they took this app in its very early stages of development.

I can't say enough about how easy this was to install and use. Being very new to joomla and its extensions, I found it confusing on how to set up clients etc. When I went to extreme joomla's site and submitted a ticket, I got excellent support. Even from the other side of the world! I'm in Australia, he's in Eastern US and the support was still there.

So to all those people looking at the comments below, check out the dates they were made, and then look at the later dates, This app is well worth the money spent and the support is very good.
I was very skeptical about purchasing JAccounts due the negative reviews on this component; however, I considered nBill, but it limits you to once domain, and if you decide to change domains you might have to purchase a new license...so I took a risk with JAccounts, and it worked out okay!

JAccounts was very easy to setup. I am using Joomla 1.5.10 and JAccounts 1.6. The only thing that didn't work was JContacts Lead module; however, this is just an "Extra" and not required for the component to run, so it doesn't really bother me.

I can't comment on their support, as I haven't had a question for them yet, but for those wanting to try out JAccounts, but are hesitant, all I can say is, it worked for me without any bugs using a PayPal invoicing system. My recommendation to the developer is to include documentation.

Having used this software and fixed a very large amount of bugs myself I have come to the following conclusion:

It a good concept badly thought out, the software is unfinished, untested with little support and no documentation. A recipe for disaster.

Im now looking elsewhere for a similiar kind of software.

Buy at your peril!
They have fixed a lot of bugs and I know they have an actual stable version now that's running nicely. I was running the prior version and there was some bugs, but the jforce team was on it pretty quick and everything running smoothly...all my comments in the forum about bugs were responded and fixed within the hour so I dont know why people are saying they are not getting any help...just post it in the forum, it is likely most people will have the same issue. Ive bought and downloaded all the invoice systems that are 1.5 native and this is is definitely the best. But as for a client viewing and paying their bill, this is pretty good and actually does have a quite a bit of features. Though it is no quickbooks, it has a lot of potential.

As is the case with the previous reviewer, I have had serious problems with this software. I would have hoped that there would be some support for bugs found, but this does not seem to be the case. They simply do not answer emails. Although, the idea behind this software is great, the implementation is very poor and as there is no support it is really not worth purchasing.
Simply put, the product doesn't work and the vendor provides no support.

There are significant bugs that are clearly known in their forums. If you create an invoice with a zero % tax rate, it will show an invoice amount of 0 and a tax rate of -100% when your customers view their invoice.

It also does not work with Google Checkout as advertised. There have been questions form users about this in their support forum and no answers have been provided.

The support is the biggest problem. If you have a sales question they will answer immediately, but if you need support, they will not answer at all. I should have viewed their support forums before buying this product and realized that the developers rarely answer questions about this broken product.
