Description
Taking advantage of the New Joomla 1.7 features of Access Control System (allows site administrators control over who can view and manage content), we designed a component that allow you to automatically create/update user's groups and status, with Paypal Standard Buttons transactions.
We did not try to build a subscriptions manager from scratch. Instead we had the innovative idea to combine all the power of Joomla and Paypal together.
Why is simple to use?
Because is as simple as:
1. Joomla Access Control System interface
2. Paypal Saved Buttons interface
If you already use Joomla 1.7 and Paypal, then you already have the knowledge!
Why is powerful, flexible and user friendly?
Because is as powerful, flexible and user friendly as:
1. Joomla user and content management (define who have access to what)
2. Paypal Subscriptions buttons (recursive, duration, trial periods, etc etc...)

The extension is simple to use, and works exactly as described.
I was in need of a way to track subscriptions to my website and this was the exact solution that I needed. It took only a few minutes to install and configure.
I had a few problems getting it started at firs, but the developer did an outstanding job at providing me with technical support. He helped me get it running in no time and haven't had any problems with it since.

This extension is very useful and easy to use. The support is great. They are very kind and helpful
Just had a small glitch that was Joomla's fault not the plugin. I emailed SP CYEND back and forth and they updated their "How to" document so everyone will know how to fix it. I signed up on Joomla's site just so I could thank SP CYEND. Thanks so much for this great free plug-in!!!!!
I have joined this site purely to thank the developer and leave feedback for this excellent extension.
Not only is this (currently) the only free paid subs extension on here but it is really easy to use (even though I initially made an error) and has the best support I have ever experienced on the web.
I would highly recommend this extension for your paid subscription needs.

I searched for a paypal subscription solution for my new Joomla 1.7 site and came across several commercial options and this FREE one.
Needless to say since it is free I gave it a try first. I had several questions and sent a total of 7 emails to the support (some of my questions were already answered in the instructions but I had been too quick and eager to get started and had missed them). However, each email was met with a response sometimes within an hour and never more than 12 hours! I got friendly help each and every time addressing my question specifically.
I do not normally do reviews but felt compelled to write and let you know this extension does the job of adding subscriptions/payments to your site and helps you set up an automatic reply email (where you can include their access details etc) to the new member to get them started.
You should give this a try before paying for a commercial alternative if you want a simple process for adding paypal with automatic member creation to pre selected categories or for multiple purposes.
