"Pay to Download XT" displays the description for the item & a paypal "pay now" button. By clicking, the user is redirected to paypal, makes his payment and is directed back to your site and - if the transaction was correct - may download the specified file.
"Pay to Download XT" can either be integrated into Joomla! by linking (e.g. via menu item) to the component directly or by including the product into a content item using the (optional) plugin (mambot).
I downloaded this component/plugin in the hope that I will be able to use it without any problem. I also paid for the user manual (This is the catch, the component/plugin doesn't explain anything.. so you have to buy quick guide to understand what it needs to configure).
After buying a quick guide, I noticed that some of the configuration parameters are not available for PayPal personal account. I tried to post my question on the support forum but no luck.

Had trouble with it initially, as I had an older version of joomla, and there was a conflict with php 4.
Through the forum, they did GREAT work, and I got better support and guidance than I would have if I'd bought an expensive commercial product. I donated a wee bit, and I'm not in a position to donate much. But I felt so strongly about the great service and component.
I'll be using this for my upcoming ebooks on my website, while my friends pay $100's for online stores. Between this and virtuemart, I'm set!!! Great job!
