jCommerce is a standalone Joomla! component for osCommerce.It integrates Joomla! and the latest oscommerce(version 2.3.3) e-commerce platform. It allows for displaying oscommerce content within the Joomla! component-area but also ships with Joomla! modules and Joomla plugins.Although it seems like a bridge but it is fully standalone(native) Joomla! component.

jCommerce is an online shop system that offers a wide range of out-of-the-box features that allows online stores to be setup fairly quickly with ease, and is available for low price.

I'm trying to use this component for a couple of weeks and just gave up. Very very disorderly designed. I have to follow tons of steps in order to install extensions and can install only from ftp (yes, in 2013)... sorry but this is not the purpose that Joomla came up.

We have 2 sites running on joomla and OS commerce and we've been exploring a way to combine these to sites together to minimize the hassle of updating and keeping 2 sites. Jcommerce provide a solution for this as we prefer to work in Joomla. We now only have one database in Joomla, so we can migrate the site into a specialize joomla hosting and save us and our client for having to update the content on separate DB. Great solutions, thank you for this extension. Great customer service as well as we moved the site and the key is not working, but they follow up in resolving this. Keep up the good work! Highly recommend this extension!

I'm new to osCommerce but I do understand Joomla so the combination of the two made good sense to me. It took a bit of messing about but the support from the developers has been superb. I like the flexibility of being able to effectively "embed" osCommerce inside my Joomla site. Nice work :)
