Plug-in is great but doesn't work with the YouTube plug-in called "Qtube" when it is on the same site. I used the CustomContent plug-in so that I could display my easypaypal plug-in as a module. So I added the plug-in to a new article and then displayed the customcontent module in the right panel of a page. Simple! Works fine except when I enable the QTube plug-in on another page. When Qtube is enabled, the easypaypal button appears and works but above it the page displays an error message related to my Qtube plug-in. There seems to be a conflict between the two plug-ins. The error message says:
Warning: Missing argument 3 for plgContentQTube::onPrepareContent() in /home/aumakua/www/www/plugins/content/qtube.php on line 23

Just seems like common sense, but this is a great plugin. I had a mp3 player plugin that creates mp3's in articles, but I really wanted the player in a module.

Since migrating several sites to Joomla 1.5, there have been a few very frustrating issues dealing with a new found lack of functionality that Joomla 1.0 possessed but 1.5 does not. The most grueling issue to overcome was Joomla 1.5's lack of ability to achieve plugin functionality within custom HTML modules.

Well, it's a shame I found the CustomContent Module now and not earlier. But I am extremely grateful nonetheless. Joomla 1.5 website development would have been much easier and customization would have been executed much quicker with this simple module functionality.

What's even better about Joomla 1.5 capability through this module is that you can now have front end editors quickly modify module design and functionality through the Joomla content system, which is where the content of this module is managed.

OMG finally find IT. CONTENT PLUGINS works on this modules. emailcloaking inside module works. It does not work on mod_custom... thx for this fantastic Module.

excellent. A manager only has to edit articles and doesn't need access to the module manager.

I was searching few hours to try doing things by hand and importing them with the iframe module in joomla, but finally I found this cool module, which made it so easy to just use an article instead with all installed joomla plugins available for me.

Great module. Loads articles into a module. I needed this for rokbox.

Others below rated it bad, just because they are new to joomla, and have no idea what this really does.

With CustomContent and DirectPHP, I really think there's nothing I can't do with a Joomla! site. I can't even imagine a Joomla! without it!! Thanks for this extension!

Indeed, this extends the custom html module in a simple and *very* useful way. Makes it a breeze to extend the layout of a page by using modules and the article manager.

Yes, this functionality should standard with joomla. Definitely needs to be part of the core in some form.

Squash a few bugs, bring it out of beta and you've got a 5-star module for sure.

I wish people would refrain from posting reviews until they understood the nuances of an add-on. This module makes up for the fact that Joomla decided to stop plugins running on modules. It also allows you to centralise custom HTML which makes it easier for users (esp non-tech ones) to manage their sites. Well done and bravo...

Unlike the custom HTML module, this module is actually assigned articles. This is great for me cause it allows the ability to include content plugins (i.e. pagebreaks, etc) and keep all my stuff organized in Articles as opposed to switching to the module config.

This module is absolutely brilliant. USed in conjunction with DirectPHP it means that you can include custom PHP code in your Joomla modules, giving unrivaled flexibility to your CMS.

Every Joomla 1.5 has a Custom HTML module already installed. Go to MODULES, click on NEW and choose CUSTOM HTML. ;) I guess there is no need to install this one.

This extension is wonderful and easy to use.
You can even select your article from a list, so no need for entering the article ID. Excellent!!

One disadvantage is that it strips the "read more" link
Is this a bug? If not, please add the possibility to have "read more" links.

you made my day and this will be a must for 1.0.x users switching to 1.5.x

Note: for people not aware, the HTML module (was Custom module in 1.0.x) does not fire content plugins as it used to do in 1.0.x.
By using this Custom Content module, one can load an Article containing calls to content plugins, thus overpassing this 1.5 limitation.
