Main features
- Plugin's Back-end side: The Administrator has a few options to make the plugin to be done flexiblely.
+ Choose the core applications which are used/displayed as default. User can enable/disable core applications.
+ Choose the other applications which are associated with this plugin. Only associcated applications can be controlled by users at Front-end.
+ Choose privacy types which will be used by users at Privacy Setting section at Front-end. There are a lot of privacy types are used, includes:
- All of Joomla user types: Public, Registered, Author, Editor, Publisher,...
- All of connection types comming from configuration of CB automatically as: Friend, Co-workker, Employer,...
It means that all of connection types that you putted under CB Configuration Manager will be appeared here automatically.
- Plugin's Front-end side
At the Front-end, the plugin is displayed as a tab. In this tab, users will see 4 main sections:
+ Application's Help/Info: You can add the help information for the plugin here
+ Core Applications: Here is the list of core applications (choosed by Administrator). Users can see detail information of core applications but they can't control them.
+ Selected Applications: Here is the list of selected applications added by themselves before. User can see detail information, Setting Privacy and Remove them from their profile if he wants. In the Setting Privacy part for each application, he can decide who will be able to view that application on his profile.
+ Available Applications: Here is the list of associated applications that un-choosed yet by current user. So he can add any applications from this list to his profile if he want.
Other features: The plugin use HighSilde and Accordion effects so it's very friendly and easy to use

- The plugin is compatible with both of Joomla 1.0.x and Joomla 1.5, Community Builder 1.2 Stable.

This thing IS what you want!
Forget the others, the CB one is way too basic (I had to hack it to pieces) Proma sort of works but is very complicated and lame as well as interfereing with your system.
This however is brilliant! It easily add-in as a normal plugin through CB and you just set it up in the back end. One niggle I have is actually CB rather than this, but affects this, you should be able to set a default connection type in case the user does not choose one. Other than that this thing is ver web 2.0 looking and gives your users COMPLETE control over what is on their profile and exactly who sees what!

I think this is the best plugin for allowing your users to organise the plugins on the site...why?? well i did try Proma2, but i found many bugs which affected other areas of my site even on the stable release. I have really been waiting for months for a solution and i found it, great easy to use cb addon and i dosnt take up much space like other components use.
I seriously do think this is the way forward, its better than the new cb privacy tab too.

I was almost about to give up on CB when I found this much needed extension. It gives any user the freedom to decide which application to install instead of having an overdose of unused tabs on the profile page. Beside it's functionality it also comes with a great look&feel.
The plugin installs smoothly within seconds and is simple to administer.
User will find it easy to choose their application and do the necessary privacy settings.
When I installed it first there was a conflict with some component and I asked for support. The team was very responsive and managed to fix it in no time. Great support!
Soon after the initial release the developer team came up with an even more advanced version today, what shows me that they care about their product.
If you want to enhance your CB - go for it! It's definitely worth the money.

I purchased this extension because our site's profile section has become quite cluttered with tabs.
We were in desperate need of a program that would allow users to turn of tabs that they did not plan to use.
This plugin was easy to install and works terrific. I really would like to thank the dev for answering all of my questions through gtalk - he was very responsive, knowledgable, and polite!
I rated this as "good" rather than "excellent" because I would like to see an option to allow admins to set certain applications to be enabled by default, that can also be disabled by the user if he/she chooses. - Dev explained that they are already hard at work with new features!
Other than that, great app.

We have released the 1.2 version of Plugin Selection to include these features along with other features which are suggested by our clients. We hope that all of you will like the plugins so much. Well, after waiting for Joomlapolis to release their Privacy plugin for months I decided to spend a couple bucks and check this thing out. Not only does it offer Privacy Features but it actually lets my site users select which "Plugins/Applications" they want to use. This means no more cluttered CB Profiles and better control for my users.
All in all I can't find one issue and would recommend it to anyone wanting to enhance their users experience on their site.
