***New ebay-like user rating plugin for CB***
Modified cb_karma rating plugin to work like the ebay rating system.
*** Updated module available to show Top rated users on any page. Now with limitation to users with minimum number of ratings.
*** Deutsche Versionen jetzt ebenfalls verfügbar. ****
*v.1.3: New admin area - deletion of unwanted ratings enabled.
*v.1.2: Limitation of ratings per page enabled.
*v.1.1.1 backend debugged
* v.1.1: possibility to reply to ratings
* v.1.1: 'Submitted by' in details table
* Scale from 0-6
* positive ratings percentage
* short rating text
* if parameter daylock=0 the user can rate only once
Demo on German classified ads page.
Altthough its German, the registration process is straightforward. (e-mail confirmation!)
- Register or login as "tester", password "tester")
- Click on a Top rated User (CB Rating Module) to see the profile
- Click on the ratings tab
- Click on the thumbs to see ratings details ordered by date.
Your rating is not shown immediately. You have to reload the page (and click on the thumbs again for the details - I will change this soon).
A module to show ratings anywhere on a joomla page is available too.
You need to install the rating component AND the cb-plugin.
Use CB plugin management to install the cb plugin. Joomla Components Installer for the component.

Hi, It is a very nice plugin, however, it is a bit unfair to rate 6 stars for being good and 0 stars for the others. Is there anyway to alter the ratings for neutral to maybe 3 stars and bad to 1 or 0 star?

I like it. This is what I needed. Thank you very much for this. Keep it up. Very easy to use and simple

i like this better than the karma- i wish it came with some sort of docs tho- it is pretty straightforward, but am guessing at the dayblock parameters- doesnt seem to want to let a member vote more than once- often times several transactions can take place between two members, so they have to be able to add more than one rating-
i am going to see if i can change tthe little thumb images out too-
overall i like it

dayblock means a member can rate another member again after the days set. (set to 0 disables this feature, so you can rate every member only once)
The thumb images can be found in :
components\com_comprofiler\plugin\user\plug_cbrating\image
You may replace them with any images keeping the filenames.

This is a nice simple add-on for CB Prolfiles. It could use some maturing, but the developer was very responsive when I asked for a modification - a small donation via PayPal and he had completed all that I had asked and more. I recomemmend this, and its developer. Hope to see more people support this and have it mature.

This is a great component along with the module and plugin that works very well. The only reason why I have average as a rating is because of what I see can possibly happen with both the component and the module. I've emailed the developer about this and I hope that he considers it.
For those of you that just want simple comments with rating and a link to those who've been rated - this is definitely for you. For those that want more, this is still for you but you might have to wait for development.
Some of the things I'd like to see are:
1) From admin to be able to edit reviews (offensive words, etc)
2) From admin to be able to delete reviews (just not appropriate etc)
I really like the day-block which I think is pretty cool and also to be able to edit the CSS of the module as well - that too is very nice.
Overall it's a nice little rating "system" and I'm eager to see further development.
PS: For those upgrading, make sure you back-up your db first - otherwise all other ratings will be gone!
