Shape 5 CB Register Module

The new CB Register module is pretty much a copy of the registration page that community builder uses. Having this page converted into a module allows you to put the registration page in a popup or similar lytebox window as we have done (click the register button in the upper right corner on our demo of CommPortal). The CB registration page would sometimes cause a suckerfish menu in IE6 to flicker, in this module we have fixed this problem.

Updated 5/11/09:
New release of the 1.5 native CB 1.2 version of this module. Unlike our 1.0.x version, the 1.5 version seamlessly integrates into community builder (if you hide icons in CB they will also hide in the module, etc).

It does what its suppose to do. Ive configured the CB registration form, with my own custom fields, captcha etc, in the CB backend. I now want to publish this form in content articles. This module allows me to do it. Install, publish, loadposition where I want it. Im happy.

Sorry to say, but it doesn't work as intended, neither is there clear instructions on how to make it work in a popup.

Clean install of module with CB installed, for me, only shows the title of the module, but no link to register.

All other modules work fine.

Not much support in the forums either with many posts for assistance unanswered.

The module concept for CB registration is fantastic. And good to see S5 offer this module for free.

Just doesn't work easily. And no clear instructions either.
They mention that you can see the demo in their commportal demo page. What they don't mention is that it works ONLY with their commportal template. After downloading, installing, then trying to figure out why it doesn't work, I finally found the only mention of this "Important" little fact burried in their support forum. http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,5982.0/

Looks like a nice extension, but give me all the facts before wasting my valuable time.

This module does not need to be used by Commportal, it will work with any Joomla site running Community Builder as described on our site. The post given above is referring to a popup box that appears for a certain module position within the Commportal template, not the module. The module will work with in any module position that your current template has.
