For an example of how is implemented, visit www.apisoft.com.ar, in the registration form. The selection of user type is the application of this plugin.

This plugin only works during registration. It does not allow a user to change their groups after they have registered. Also, it doesn't work with the multigroups feature of noix.

This plugin does work with CB 1.2 stable and even with the noixACL usergroup management. A fantastic extension to the core functions of CB and Joomla if you need to assign different usergroups.
Thanks a lot to the developer!

Works perfect on 1.5 legacy mode on !!
Used with noixacl component and CB 1.2, works well !

- The extension itself is very easy to install and use.
- It fills the need of tailoring the content of your site for different user groups. Think employers/employee for instance.
- However, to create custom user groups in the CB database is a little bit more trickier.
Unfortunately the extension currently does not work with the latest version of CB 1.2rc4. So I am impatiently waiting for an upgrade.
Thanx

Awesome plugin, very simple and natural to use. I thank its author a lot for that !! I didn't test it but you should use it with JACL+ (if you use J1.0+) to create custom user groups, or if you use J1.5+ I think you will have to customize in the core (see http://docs.joomla.org/Custom_user_groups)
