If you're running a social network for professionals using community builder, this is the component for you. Modeled after the LinkedIn.com functionality, your community members can now have their resumes on their profile. Show your Education and Employment History, Interest and Awards, and more. Easy to use with simple forms for your users to fill out.
Works with Community Builder 1.1 and 1.2 Series
This can be used as a replacement for Group Jive
3 Options for use:
1) Group/Discussions component and discussions can be used without the resume builder component
2) Resume Builder can be used without the Groups compoent
3) BEST: Use both at the same time.

With a shaky hand I signed up for this extension, especially thinking of the one-and-only negative review.
I downloaded and installed this - unfortunately the layout was wrong. So I contacted JoomlaCache - and within 24 hours they have fixed the problem !!!!
This extension is a must if you want to run a professional community as I do. It is easy to install - and the problem was solely due to a special template setup.
I have quite an experience record on getting websites to run. From that experience I can only say this extension is in the better part of the scale. I would not hesitate to recommend or get other extensions from Joomlachache in the future.

It is my worst purchase. It is a component to let you copy part of LinkedIn (which will violate linkedin copy right). There is no customization function. You can not add or modify any field. They know they could not sell it and their demo site had never been working. I was cheated by their ads.
In addition (as I sent the request to them):
1.as a "resume builder", it should be able to upload a word format resume and it can published as html file, like monster.ca (pick up the fields in the resume and save to the database)
2.as "linked in like": I thought it must have function to check the registered user's friends in Yahoo, Gmail, etc. and invite them to participate.
3.Public profile(control what is available the public and users)
4.view profile and edit profile (seems there is no view profile menu)
5. this is the biggest problem as commercial component: could not customize the field in the backend. Such as which field would appear in the frontend.
6.There is no province level address.
After I sent the request to them, they ask me for a fee for what I want. In the end I had to ask another developer to do the job.

He wanted features that linkedin does not have, and that is why this extension does not have them.
1) Linkedin does not have this feature, why would this
2) Linkedin does not have this either
3) that can be controlled by CB as it uses CB for the profiles. CB can be public/private, linkedin does not have this feature
4) it uses CB for the profile, it is not a stand alone component, but a cb plugin and of course a cb profile can be editied
5) yes, linkedin does not have this feature either
6) OK
Also note the term "LinkedIn Like", meaning it is not a exact clone, nor does it violate any copy rights.

I offered to customize the component to meet his needs, but it was about 40 hours work of which i could not do for free
And although I spend hours on his requests, and being threatened, i refunded his money dispute the no refund policy
