Why be limited to searching just by username? With CD Power Search, you can search by ANY field in the profile!
CB Power Search has a fully automatic installation, and will be up and running in less than two minutes from the time you download the file. Enjoy!
This is sad.
I really need this functionality, CB Advanced Search worked a treat in the past, but i can't find a current version of this, so I went to power search. Even though the reviews were bad.
My search function just returns 'no results' no matter what.
There is no support available on the Angry Ninjas website, and i've submitted a help request twice no with no reply.
What a shame.

Would like to know if they have a Native version but they won't email me back. Their website doesn't specify whether Native or Legacy. The Joomla site does, but their website seems to imply it would be Native. Would like to purchase, but need it to be Native J1.5 compliant.

I have followed the instructions in their single paragraph Support and Installation page, and have had to stop, because its NOT "fully automatic". I've sent them an e-mail via their website...we wait and see.
I've seen their comments against other reviews of this product. Only a couple of questions here:
1. If they have a full user support guide available, why don't they include it with the purchase instead of having purchasers go through having to e-mail them for it?
2. They say that they should be e-mailed via their website to ensure they get the mail. Well, I've done so three times, copying the e-mail to myself, and I haven't received the copy once. So I don't know if they have received my e-mail...

I purchased this about a month ago and the search portion works for me although I have one issue that the developer ignores. Once the search has finished and the results show, all of the avatars are of a static pic that points offsite. I modified it to where it stays onsite but after several non-responses from the developer via the website and personal email I have decided to write this review.

Save your 15 dollars for something else!
I purchased this last week. It only works on radio buttons and check fields on my list. I can't get it to search text at all, so it is really useless. I thought it was supposed to simplify the CB search function, but so far it doesn't -- it doesn't seem to do anything beyond the basic search already available in CB. I'd love to find the user manual referred to in the previous review, but I can't find it anywhere on their website. In fact, I can't seem to get any support at all. I wrote the support forum and emailed the developer several times but I get no reply.

Not sure where you are sending the emails, but we didn't receive any from you. There is a full support user guide available. Use the contact us form on our website and we will point you in the right direction and get you up and running.
This is great! Does JUST what I needed -- perfectly easy to install, very easy to set up, just really really super. The best $15 I have spent all week.
I am going to try it in combo with JUGA to see if I can make different sorts of searches depending on which users have access to which fields.

This component costs 15 USD and you can only download during a short period after your first download. After install you go to admin panel and see what configurations it offers. NOTHING! Only one URL that you should use in order to create a menu item.
Community Builder offers this as default by just creating a user list and selecting “only search”.
Make your own opinion about someone developing something as useless as this and wanting 15USD for it.
I thought you can do something like quick search with this and its integrated in a module... As it is this component is useless.

Simply not true. If you contact us we will be happy to point you to the user guide, where you can configure many options. This components allows you to search CB profiles for MULTIPLE search criteria... for example, only users age 18-25, female with blond hair and blue eyes. Community builder does NOT do that.
Please email us and we will show you the instructions and user guide to get you setup the way you need to be. Please do not be so quick to judge until you have explored the entire component.
