update: added an option to link to twitter page for every items and followers...+ links.
Now it only shows twits from author and not any twit conataining the author's username.
The only gotcha is that it chokes on Tweeple who have their Twitter profiles set to private. We put a notice in the plugin edit page telling members not to use it if they are set up that way. This seems to have mitigated the problem.
It is also VERY important to give members VERY SPECIFIC directions on how to find and then enter the Twitter account number. They got this wrong every way possible.
Would be nice if there was an option not to show the Twitter name (redundant) and account number, (pointless) to other members.
If it was only just as simple as that....
The last few days I just couldnt figure out what took my CB-pages to load that slow... Took me quite some time to figure out.
But it was the Twitter-plugin.
I tested and tested.. published, unpublished, etc..
And it was definitly the twitter slowing it down, and not just a little bit!
I simply solved it by making a new field, calling it twitter, and let the user just fill-in that!
Very weak, very sloooowing you down.
So that you know!
Hello, just know, You should contact support before discrediting... you are the first one after more than 1200 downloads to complain about slowdowns... Anyway users can check the demo link to evaluate the speed... and you can use the support forum to find a solution to your issue...
Not knowing that I contacted the developer. Because of the drastic time difference I didn't expect any response for some time. I was pleasantly surprised when I received an answer within 15 minutes. He was also willing to log-in to my site and take a look.
Works perfectly and is backed by fantastic support. In fact, the support is better than many of the commercial plugins I've tried.
