jDMTree 1.5 for Docman plugin with Joomla 1.5. - Tree to display the contents with the hierarchy - Categories,Sub Categories & Files or Documents. Front End Features : 1.Displays all categories and subcategories. 2.Displays documents or files under the categories/subcategories. 3.Displays a separate link to the category/subcategory. Admin Control Features : 1.Secify number of documents to be displayed in each category/sub category. 2.Limiting text with maximum character count for document name. 3.Limiting text with maximum character count for category/sub category name. 4.Sorting of documents based on update date,hits or name (ASC or DESC).

Security rules:
- If user is guest, it shows up all docs with 'everybody' access.
- If user is logged in, docs shown will be based on

#Logged in user is the owner/creator of the doc.
#Logged in user is the maintainer of the doc.
#For publisher user, docs having rights for publisher will be shown
#For author user, docs having rights for publisher will be shown
# For registered user, docs having rights for registered will be shown
#For editor user, docs having rights for editor will be shown
#All users will see, docs having 'everybody' rights

Using Joomla 1.5.10 + latest wamp stack, I found it didn't work with core SEF or Artio JoomSEF, but all that was needed was to declare the "l keep my organisation's organisation happy.

Must have extension!

Work flawlessly with core SEF set to OFF.
When SEF is ON, expand/collapse behaviour of trees become unpredictable.
I noticed that with core SEF set to ON java-script generates many cookies instead of one.

Another minor issue is that plus/minus icons disappear when browsing DocMan contents.

In order to solve this issue I added
additional leading slashes to pathways to images in docmantree.php like this:

'/modules/mod_jdmtree15/jDMtree/images/docmantree_expand.gif'
instead of
'modules/mod_jdmtree15/jDMtree/images/docmantree_expand.gif'

Now everything is fine with icons.

I hope Josh will solve the first problem easily in near future.

Nice mod - installs with only a small amount of changes to the code becuase I am uising PHP5- i.e. the issue of changing all the u can have the mod set up on a per menu basis, just showing relevant files rather than the full tree.

Other than that, it does all it says and does it quite neatly.

This is a nice module for displaying the various Categories that are classified in DOCman.
Author please note: The 'Module Class Suffix' could have been included
