Skype for Jomsocial is a great little plugin to integrate the famous skype messaging network into any jomsocial powered website. Custom built to integrate perfectly inside jomsocial templates (main content, sidebar top or sidebar bottom), it uses our gorgeous, glossy designed skype buttons that users love so much. By publishing Skype for Jomsocial inside your jomsocial website you will allow all your users to add new skype friends, initiate voice or video calls and send messages because we packed this plugin with our already famous frontend user override. The frontend user override option is available in the joomla plugin backend and you can activate it or not, if set to Yes users will be able to add their skype username in the website frontend and display their skype online status inside their jomsocial user profile, even if they are not logged into your website, if set to No in the administrator plugin backend, then the backend username applies to all users and only your status is displayed.

Great plugin - Simple to install and works out of the box. I had to contact support as I could not get the status to show but you have to ensure in your Skype account under 'privacy' that you allow your status to be shown online so was no fault of the plugin. Support was excellent and response time was faultless.

My site users have reported no issues and all comments so far on the use is positive.

NOTE: The plugin also works and looks far better in the sidebar than the main position that is stated on the website

Recommended if you want a quick easy Skype integration for your social network.
