It knows how to handle plugins/mambots and Geshi code. Support UTF-8 encoding only (right now, if requested it can support another charsets)

* I found a bug with some installs of Joomla. The problem is that in Joomlaspanish is distinct from Joomla and from Joomla-whatever. So now when you do a translation, the plugin detects the charset of the source translation and convert it to UTF-8. Tested with spanish, english, portuguese, french, german, italian and hebrew. I think it will work now with russian, japanese and other languages like that. Please test and do bug reports.

The idea of this plugin is great and it is what I was looking for. Installation was easy, but it's kind of difficult to figure out how it works. The documentation was not complete, but their forum has a good and useful information. The response by the developer of this plugin in the forum is quick and clear. Overall, even I had a difficult time to make it work, I like this plugin and I think it's great.

Easy to install, working well at beginning (first day) then I got the following error "JFGT Translation Error detected" on every article !
Don't understand why, but it stop working !

Hi! Please ask support on the forum. This problem depends a lot on your server configuration :)
The plugin does its work as expected. However, it would be great if that plugin could be triggered from the admin side or if the translations could triggered faster. the default seems to be 5 mins between pages and if i reduce that it seems as if it would have no impact on the translation interval.

Thanks for your review. The problem with the 5 minute delay is because the translation service provider. If you make translations faster, your server could be banned for various days.
Wow... This is fantastic. Now I only hope the translation is decent, since I don't understand the language translated. But in time I will find out.
All I can tell you is be patient!! It takes a bit of time for each article to translate. You will be pleasantly surprised. Great Plugin!!!

I installed the plugin and it's working fine on the standard joomla installation articles. It integrates properly with joomfish and articles get's translated as google does with translation tool, which saves too many time to do it manually.
In our case we had problem when integrating with FlexiContent, we asked on the support forum and answer's was clear and quickly answered! Even a new version was uploaded to fix the flexicontent integrated error which was making me mad.
BTW, the fix was to avoid trying to translate the flexicontent articles, which in our case is expected to be the most of the web, so i will not suggest if you're planning to use it in conjuction with flexicontent, but, if that's not your case, it's a very good plugin with good support! Give it a chance!

I'm using this marvellous plugin as translator help in conjunction with Joom Fish. After having defined the languages for my site I just enable the plugin and it fills JoomFish database for me, then I've only to adjust the automatic translation to give it a more natural sound.
