Highly inspired by Rowan Seymour JBLatest, modified versions by fuQaHa, JoniJM, MetZ. Supports nearly all functionality of all these versions.
Rewritten nearly at all places; to support more features in new Joomla 1.5 and Kunena 1.0.8.
Requirements: Joomla 1.5, Kunena 1.0.8+ or Kunena 1.5.1a+
Highlights:

Simple, excellent, easy to install. Not feature rich, but exactly what I was looking for.

Nice customization features in backend. Doens't respect access rights to forums though so be carefull.

A good module only thing I miss is thge ability to just show a thread once, not all new posts in the same thread

For me everything is functional except the avatars from jomsocial

This is very nice and if I could get to work properly would get a better rating.
I installed the latest version and use Joomla 1.5 in Legacy mode. The Kunena Latest seems to interfere with other modules (in my case JA Slideshow 2 and JA Tabs modules) where the modules dissapear (from the site...not the backend) when Kunena Latest in enabled.
I have been unable to find a fix, and from what I have read on the Kunena site, the creator has moved onto other projects.
Unless I find I fix, I cannot use Kunena Latest, but I wish I could!

Issue resolved in version 1.0.39.

This was easy to setup and the module itself also does look quite nice.
Only 3 stars because of the following reasons:
1.
On my page it unfortunately breaks the preview-function of the Phoca-Gallery (Random-Picture-Module)
2.
Till today you have to use legacy-mode with a productive Kunena-Installation. Therefore you can also use the legacy latest-module, which is formatted even nicer.

Does the job, right away we had it going! If anyone has used this with JACLPLUS please report.
Works right puit of the box. Simple to set up and all options are exoplained in tooltips in the back end. This is the way all modules should be. Great support and ongoing development makes this a must for anyone use Kuena as theirr forum! One very happy user here!
Great to hear that this forum extension is taken back into development. If you see what it can do now, I'm eager to see what it can do in a few months from now.
Especially the backend of Kunena is one of the best of all the available joomla forums. Even a newbie like me can deal with it :)

Works right out of the box. Does exactly what it says it will do. This is a sweet mod for the next best thing in joomla forum boards.
