What it is:
An AJAX Rating Bar that runs off New and/or Existing SOBI2 Rating and Reviews database tables, so if you have already been using SOBI2 R&R your user votes will not have to be migrated at all. As of yet no AJAX bar exists. All of the bars can be used at once with no interference with each other.
Features:
1. AJAX voting with no page reloading tested and works in newer versions of Safari, Chrome, IE, Firefox, and Opera. A non-JavaScript link can be hard coded, but this will cause the page to reload
2. Works in v-card, no other does this
3. can have two bars in Details, one for voting and the other for whatever you want I use a static one for display at the top, and the other for voting near the bottom with jComments.
4. Can set any bar to be static
5. Can choose to show or not to show text i.e. vote count, loading image
6. Can set separate voting images and loading images for each of the tree bars
7. Set voting to one voter per person, or multiple multiple only allows once per 24 hours
8. Set to allow guests to vote, or logged in users only
9. All images are loaded to select lists from directory listings so that users can easily drop in new image files and access them instantly in admin
10. Set number of rating units from 1-10
11. Different messages on voting depending upon whether the user has voted, is logged in, is trying to cheat, or Errors and others
But when I click a star to vote I get "unknown error" and only the first 2 stars can be clicked. I tried troubleshooting for javascript errors (disabling plugins, etc), but can't solve this. Firebug shows no related errors.
I'm really bummed because this ext looks very nice and seems like the perfect solution for me... I was even about to donate :(
Author's website (forum) seems to be down (404 error) so not sure what to do.
thanks
The author of this add-on does'nt respond at all
and his site even registered does'nt allow access to his forum... plus there's no documentation about how this add-on works and install... it does'nt install trought installer...
Plus tried to contact by several time the owner and no answer were given...
A BIG WASTE OF TIME
Our forum is now up and running again, and we also have a contact form on our site. The add-on simply installs through the SOBI2 extension installer, and the code to add the plugin to your template is listed on the bottom of plugins configuration page just as it is for other SOBI2 plugins.
I have a question: How can I translate the texts? Thanks in advance!
