jView Gallery for SOBI2 Extension Specific Addon

Editor's Note
  • This extension requires registration to download.
JView is a fantastic image gallery plugin from CorFun.com for the SOBI2 directory component for the Joomla Content Management system. JView offers the following:

Main Image Swap - A main image shows above multiple thumbnails. The user mouses over the images to swap the main image. The size of the main image and the thumbnails is configurable in the plugin parameters. Say goodbye to the lightbox! Users can leisurely explore your photo gallery without having images popup in their faces or having to deal with a slideshow.
Multiple image upload - A user can select multiple images to upload at one time. This saves time when creating entries and makes the process more user-friendly.
Drag and Drop Interface - The AJAX interface allows users to simply drag and drop images in the order that they would like them. Want to delete an image? Simply drag it to the Trash which is next to the thumbnails.
Sell Images - Specify a number of free, if you choose. Images above the number of free are charged a fee in the default currency of SOBI2. You can have up to six tiers for image fees.
Custom drop-down instructions for your users. Tell them the max number of images, the maximum size, image types, and any other information that you want to pass along.
All Frontend functions are available to admins in the backend of Joomla.

This is an excellent plugin to replace the Gallery plugin that comes with Sobi2. I am using this plugin for a business directory. It has nearly all the features of the original plugin and more. You can upload in batch and move to trash in the same tab. One thing I found missing was the vertical alignment of the image icons but a short message on their forums got a quick response, on a Sunday even. Jerry's suggestion worked as I had asked with minimal problems and while I'm not new to Joomla or web development, I don't do CSS well and that where it had to be rectified. Good products backed by good people.
