Detail Shadowbox for SOBI2 Extension Specific Addon

Your SOBI2 directory has lots of entries that can be shown on Category pages and on Search results pages. Visitors to your site load a page with multiple entries, and then start perusing the options. But there is a problem. Each time they click an entry to get more information, the system loads that page in the main window. The visitor to your site has to constantly "back arrow" on the browser to return to the search results or the category page. For sites using our mapping solution, JMaps, this problem was solved by loading details in a shadowbox (lightbox) popup. That keeps the visitor on the page with the listings and encourages them to explore their options further.

But, not all SOBI2-based directory sites that would benefit from loading entry details in a shadowbox popup need a mapping solution. So SOBI2 Detail Shadowbox for SOBI2 was born! This SOBI2 plugin is super easy to install and configure. It can work for SOBI2 Category pages, Search Results, or both. You can set the size of the shadowbox popup in either percentages or absolute pixel values. Best of all - SOBI2 Detail Shadowbox can work in SOBI2 on either Joomla 1.0 or 1.5!

This is a great addition to my site and a must have plugin for any SOBI2 listings.

Very quick to install and configure. Used forum to ask developer some questions and they responded quickly. Very helpful.

I think the plugin should come standard with an option to remove the site background on the v-card shadowbox as it is not necessary. However the developer helped me modify my code to do so. These modifications are posted on their forum for future reference.

This plugin was exactly what I was looking for for my site.
