I created this module because I think more important the distance than the (eg) date of creation in the address based Sobi2 directories. (eg hotels, restaurants, schools, shops )
The Sobi2 Nearby Places module shows:
* the nearest places from the current entry in the detailed view of Sobi2 entries using by Longitude and Latitude fields.
* the nearest places from the setted position using by Longitude and Latitude fields.
You can set:
- maximum entries
- maximum distance
- add position manually (it shows any page on you site) OR position of current entry (it shows only the details view page)
- from all category
- only from current category (if exist catid in url)
- from selected category
- only from category or from category and subcategories (if exist catid in url)
- show title
- show image
- show icon
- show custom field (you can set up to 3 custom field)
- hide title if there is no output (no places)
The distances are calculated from field_longitude/field_latitude fields or what you set in the Sobi2 component setting in Map are.
