Editor's Note
  • This extension requires registration to download.
The SOBI2 Dropdown Module for Joomla 1.5 gives you a Quick Jump Menu to all your SOBI2 Categories. You can either show all the categories in a list or as drop down box.

You can show all the top level categories or show all sub-categories from a specified parent.

If you want to use the module to show sub-categories from several parent categories, we suggest you use the module in the drop down list fashion.

Previously I was using mod_sobi2menu but this was not compatible with Joomla 1.5 so I was having to use legacy mode. This does exactly what I want and is fully compatible with Joomla 1.5 It is easy to use and an essential addition to any sobi2 website

With a page of over 380 categories, this module sits above my page giving the user the choice of using the drop down, or the list. When you select and go to a certain category the drop down updates itself showing the category name and giving the user a quick way of jumping to another category. This has added a massive amount of usability to my site so all I can say is thank you to the developer!
A great add on for SOBI2

This plugin gives a useful level of control over sub category listing. It would be great if you could list multiple sub categories at the same time (ideally all as this isnt possible via any sobi2 plugin at the moment)

Thank you

Really helpful, simple solution for better navigation through your Directory.
But the integration with sobi2 is not so good. For example it doesn't follow the ordering of categories in sobi2, or publishing status of categories.

Hello, the module has been updated. You can now select the ordering of the categories.

A plain list of categories method of showing the list is now also supported.

A good clean error free module.

Saying that the jump gives access to all categories is not accurate though, the jump is only to top level categories.

Hello Spaconx,

We have updated the module which is now available for download from our site.

If you upload the file now it has been changed and you are able to select the category for which the sub-cats are shown.
