Joomla! 1.5 has already the capability included to create search engine friendly URLs. SobiSEF plugin extends this for SOBI2.
The SobiSEF plugin has a wide range of settings to configure the creation of the URLs like a complete SEF component. That includes the same settings as of the OpenSEF plugin, extended by a lot of replacements and suffix settings.
The SOBI2 Configuration menu will be extended by a new menu item "Manage SEF URLs". The generated URLs can be edited, deleted and locked. A locked URL cannot be deleted.

Versions prior to RC 1.5 had some problems, but all problems are apparently now solved with version RC 1.5 and everything works as advertised. Ideal solution for Sites that mostly contain Joomla and SOBI2 content as SEF URL's can now be automatically generated without the need for additional, and arguably more 'complicated', SEF extensions. Note: SobiSEF plug-in version RC 1.5 requires SOBI2 Component version RC 2.9.2.2 or later.

First: This plugin dont work well with "SOBI2 Most Rated Module". Dont use other sobi moudle right now.
Second: Uninstal of plugin is not clean. I have sh404sef and i tested SobiSEF plugin with and without it. When I decided to uninstal sobisef plug I got errors of missing files.
Finaly, dont use, or dont even test this plugin if u have sh404sef and you are not shure you wont to use it forever and uninstal sh404sef.

Very easy to use and free ! Exactly what I was looking for.
Go in your back-end --> Components --> Sobi2 --> Plugins --> Install the plugin, then click on SobiSEF in the left column --> Activate - Yes and it's working !! It can't be more simple.

Prior to upgrading to the latest version of Sobi2 I had SH404 for my SEF function. It didn't work that great with the latest upgrade, so I trief this plugin and it did everything I needed it to perfectly. I actually prefer the URL's it generates. The only thing I miss is the title and header handling SH404 did.

Matchless implementation of Joomla! core SEF functionality. If all extension developers would follow this example it would be not neccessary to install have 3rd party SEF components. The only reason why I used sh404sef was SOBI2. Even if the shipped plugin for SOBI2 is very poor and old (no support for many new links). After I installed SobiSEF I was able to uninstall sh404sef and my site works much faster now. Thank you very much guys
