This version corrects some bugs when using with VirtueMart > 1.1.8. You can also display the product rating information and the prices on attributes are displayed correctly when currency is dollar.
TIPS
To use the plugin with a mailings components, overwrite the main template file attribute by using the following expression: {simpleproduct:id=xx,file=mailing}
Of course, the component need to be able to use the content plugins to do it. You can also use the patchs I provide for Acajoom and MyMail
DESCRIPTION
A Simple plugin to let you insert easily a snapshot of your VirtueMart or Seber Cart products inside others Joomla contents as articles, categories description, section description or anything parsed by content plugins. To use it inside a module, you will need the "Place Here" module, as modules aren't parsed by content plugins.
It has some simple options as the ability to use a customized template for all products. You can also define which informations should be displayed.
HOW TO USE IT WITH VIRTUEMART?
Just insert one of the following expression:
{simpleproduct:id=xx} (where xx is the product's id)
{simpleproduct:sku=xxx} (where xxx is the product's sku)
HOW TO USE IT WITH SEBERCART?
Just insert one of the following expression:
{simpleproduct:id=xx} (where xx is the product's id)
{simpleproduct:title=xxx} (where xxx is the product's title)
HOW TO DEFINE INDIVIDUAL PARAMETERS
You can define individual parameters by adding the following notation to the expression {...,param1=value1,...}. Here is the parameters available:
template boolean 1:Use the VirtueMart snapshot 0:use the plugin template define in file parameter
file string Name of the template to use if template is on 0
showimage boolean Show product image
showname boolean Show product name
showdesc boolean Show product short description
showprice boolean Show product price
showattribute boolean Show attributes options, only if showaddtocart is 1 (only for virtuemart)
showquantity boolean Show quantity form, only if showaddtocart is 1 (only for virtuemart)
showaddtocart boolean Show product form to add to the cart
showmore boolean Show 'read more' link
showmycart boolean Show 'see my cart' link
showreviews boolean Show users reviews (only for virtuemart)
showstock boolean Show stock state (only for Seber Cart)
Available in english, french and russian.

This plug-in is saving me a bunch of time as we add digital downloads to our Virtuemart music site. We needed the digital download links to show up on the album pages. Simple Product Snapshot is so easy to set up and they can add the digital downloads to their cart right from the album page. Amazing!
The documentation is not existent for a user of my level. I have the plugin working however I cannot figure out the script to edit it. I just want a button for them to add the item to the care "Buy This" No image, no title, nothing more than the button for that selected item.
I've been using this plug-in for a few days on a new redesign of my site. It has given me exactly what I was looking for - an easy way to add products to the shopping cart from the article pages. It has streamlined my e-commerce process, and it does it in a really clean, but aesthetically pleasing way.

I've been using this plugin for quite some time now. It greatly enhances VM and is far better than the standard VM snapshot plugin. I know there is always room for improvement, but overall, it work(ed) right out of the box and with minimum fuzz. A must have for any serious VM shop.
However, since VM 1.1.8, it's not working anymore, rendering blank pages or parse errors. In the support area for the plugin there are already a few reports on this, with no reply. Too bad the developer doesn't seem to have time for this anymore, maybe someone will pick it up from here. I leave the moto.... :-)

The latest version of the plugin is working correctly with Virtuemart > 1.1.8. Please update to the last release.
This is a must have for any Virtuemart site.
In fact, I think this extension should be part of the Virtuemart core installation.
You can have your products displayed anywhere you want in your site. With some litte css customization you can make them appear exactly the way you want.

Great Plugin. Thank you for your job. I have only one problem with java conflict. In my shop (virtuemart), When the plugin was enabled did not work modules with java script. I must remove line 134 in simpleproductsnapshot.php (loading mootools), now is ok, but not working ajax cart in plugin. Is not very big problem, but maybe you know another way to do it.

Since the version 1.4.8, this problem is fixed. So if you want to use the Simple Product Snapshot with Ajax enabled, it won't be a problem for others javascript modules.
Thank you Bruno for this simple yet must have Plugin. Thank you also for your support in installing the Plugin - I wish there could be a designated area in the plugins forum so we could take the discussions further. I only found scattered threads in regards. Nevertheless - Great Job !!!

This plugin is right out of the box.
Easy to install and config.
Result is great!
Just remember to inset the keywords in the html code of your dissired page for it to work. But Bruno is fast on the support so don't worry :)

I gove a try to this plugin and I found it realy good. Doing is job but not only this. You can choose the template wich will display the result and the default template is very clear. It's very easy to adapt.
I can create my own templates now, for different designs, very good !
I had a problem with french caracters encoding, I contacted the author, explained my problem and he fixed it (I think he was already aware about it and the fix is in the new releases to come here).

Works great. Improved my front page. Extremely clear cut instructions. However, I wish you could change the choose the font color. Is there a way I can do this?

To change the font color, you just have to edit the file default.css in the following folder: plugins\content\simpleproductsnapshot\
Of course you need to have some basic knowledge about CSS designing.

Plugin worked like a charm, my problem was that the Scandinavian carachters æ, ø and å showed up like garbage.
Sent the developer a mail and he answered me even though it was a Saturday! He rewrote the code for me and the carachters showed up like supposed to!
