This extension really makes the VM product catalogue a vibrant promotional tool.

The functionality is intuitive and the support that I have had from the developer for custom additions has been second to none - we now use this extensively across most of our clients' ecommerce sites.

If you need discount coupons and promotions to work on your site - particularly business to consumer - you really need this component to make your life easy and your client's happy.

This is one the best marketing tools I ever used on a shopping website with really complex processes. Moreover I needed some support which I received within two hours although my problem was pretty difficult.

I've had a Joomla! site for nearly two years, and it's populated with dozens of extensions, but this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. Awocoupon was the perfect solution for what I needed. I provide Groupon-like deals for sale on my site. Awo allows me to set the deals up for sale in Virtuemart and then mail certificates -- embedded with unique codes -- to the buyers, who then take them to the establishment to redeem. Along the way, I've had occasion to contact Awo for support help. Seyi ALWAYS answers promptly and thoroughly and never gets frustrated when I have to ask for more clarification (due to my tech ignorance). Yesterday I asked if the module could perform a specific function that would allow me to offer more than one gift certificate at a time (it does that now, but there was one aspect missing). Seyi said that the module wasn't configured that way but that it made sense and he would change it for the next update. That's amazing customer service. Very very pleased.

A must have if you wish to handle coupons and gift certificates on your Virtuemart site.
The pro version allows you to create product, shipping, usergroup and so on specific coupons and gift certificates easily and quickly and it works magnificently.
The support is absolutely perfect: the developer helped me with two problems which were essentially VM-related with a very kind, quick and precise response and now my site is ready to go.
Updates are also frequent, therefore there's no excuse not to try this extension if you need a powerful and functional coupon management.

Even if the product wasn't great (which it totally is. Absolutely perfect for coupon and gift certificate management!), the service would more than make up for it. The service I received was incredible when I had a minor issue. Within hours everything was taken care of and I'm a happy camper! Thanks for a great product and your attention to your end users. Fantastic extension. Works perfect, it's easy to use, easy to maintain, no problems to install and is constantly improved upon with new features.

Support was great and bug fix solution very quick (should point out it was a bug due to VM issue, not the extension, and was back in v1.0).

A definite must have if you need proper coupon functionality, and with no issues to report.

One of the biggest shortcomings of Virtuemart is the lack of gift certificates. This is where AwoCoupon shines! You simply create your gift certificate (G.C.) products, go into the AwoCoupon component, assign a gift certificate to the aforementioned product, and you're done. The component does all the heavy lifting on the background, from composing the email (HTML or plain text) to generating the G.C. code.

One glaring problem is that I use the shipvalue module to determine shipping costs based on the value of the order. Since I can't charge shipping fees on a virtual product, and there is no way to exclude products in the shipvalue module, I contacted the developer.

Not only did the developer, Seyi, fix the problem, but he did it without complaining and after 2 days of going back and forth, he solved the problem. I only hope he offers the solution in the virtuemart forums as I know other people have this problem as well of not being able to exclude certain products with the shipvalue module.

This is a GREAT company with awesome support and I can't say enough about their expertise and professionalism. The component is a coding marvel and will complement your virtuemart store if you need coupons and G.C.

The free version of this coupon extension greatly improves the coupon capabilities in Virtuemart and adds many options to include/exclude individual products/customers. Easy to use & highly configurable. Definitely recommend this extension!

Seyi, if they allowed 6 stars you would get it from me. I'm a retired developer/software engineer/IT Consultant and I know outstanding software when I see it. I've been using AwoCoupon for 6 weeks now and I only get more impressed with each passing day.
I can't speak about the free version because I went straight for the Pro version based on the strength of the reviews here. I have not been disappointed in any way. Feel free to buy it with confidence.

This component is the best I've ever seen for virtuemart : simple, it offers a lot of feature that lacks to virtuemart : coupons on product, categories, manufacturer, shopper groups, coupons on shipping, coupon on just non discounted products (featured I requested and that seyi developed for me :) ) ... + gift vouchers ...

I dont normally leave reviews (let alone when i have to sign up for an account :)) but this time i simply had to! i have been using the AWO Pro version for about 2 weeks now and it is absolutely brilliant! the coupon management is marvellously easy and i cant stop wondering how could i ever run my business without this extension! i can create coupons to target specific customers or products, or give free shipping or even real deal gift certificates! it even allows me to create buy 1 get one half price promotions! plus it is so simple to navigate and use that i can do this at 3 am and get it right in seconds! :) thank you developers of this superb component for a PERFECT PRODUCT

Product does exactly as it promisses. Worked great, and if you ever have any troubles installing it, or getting it to work (mainly because of your own lack of skills as it was the case with me) seyi will help you sooner and better than you can imagine. Really worth the fee!

Just purchased the pro version today, it's simply amazing! The support is unparalleled, the dev team literally got back to me within 5minutes when I had an issue with child category/products and the coupon system. Solution worked flawlessly! So much control over the coupon system, I'm flabbergasted after using virtuemart's pre-installed coupon system which as most joomla/vm users are aware of, quite simply sucks. Finally we have a worth-while coupon/gift cert system that we have full control over! AWESOME!!!!!!!!

This component works as noted, with one very big note: Any existing VirtueMart Coupon codes no longer work and must be entered into AWOCoupon.

But it's very nice and adds a lot.
