I revisited AwoCoupon and this time around managed to get it to work. There seems to be a bit of a quirk, at least on my installation. If you make only one coupon, then that discount will be applied to the specific product regardless of whether a coupon code is entered or not. In fact the code field does not appear on the checkout page in VirtueMart though the discount is applied. If, however, you make a second coupon, even an unpublished one, the field appears in the checkout procedure and works only for the specified product as intended. That solves my problem once and for all.
Ideally, of course, VM will implement some additional parameters for coupon deployment though they seem reluctant to take this on for whatever reason.

Thanks so much. Nice Job Done!
I needed a coupon with options and this gives them to you. Expiration, one use per customer, and intuitive interface. Thank you! Install, enable, and it works.
I am so happy.
I `ve been using virtuemart for 3 years now, and have been frustrated with the coupon system every step of the way.
specifically, (for me) it is of utmost importance that a user only be allowed to use a coupon once - but I do not want to have the ongoing hassle of constantly creating 'gift coupons'.
Up until now this has been impossible.
With this component you can get the coupon system to do pretty much WHATEVER you want.
and it`s free.
Super easy to configure.
great support.
I just wish I could give it more than 5 stars

I don't want to repeat what has already been said here, but in fact AWO Coupons gives VM the coupons functionality it badly needed.
And not only it's a great script, but also the developer is very responsive. We found a bug in the way VM processes coupons and taxes, and not only Seyi was quick to reply, but also found a solution within VM and released a new version of the plugin in less than two days.
Thumbs up !!

The coupon management system in Virtuemart is simple to say the least. You could create a coupon with a simple percentage discount. That's it. This extension is exactly what Virtuemart should have right out of the box. It does everything I was looking for and more. If you have an ecommerce site that runs on Virtuemart then you NEED this extension.
Brilliant
I have never left a review for an extension before however this time I have to.
We had been looking for something that could coordinate coupons on our Community Builder/CBSubs/Virtuemart based site and this works perfectly.
The inclusion of Coupons for a particular Shopper Group or even better, integration with CBSubs would make this component a must have for anyone using Community Builder.
Great Work!
