- This extension requires registration to download.
In empty condition you can show any stylish empty cart icon as per your choice. You have the option to choose your own empty cart image, check-out button / check-out text, text size or you can also hide the cart image as per your need. You also have the option to specify your own Module Class or Menu Class. Please note that Ajax auto mini cart update function is not included in the module.
Lets give your customer more freedom to shop in your store.
Version 1.3: Empty Cart Image is linked with VirtueMart Mainpage. Product Name in the cart is linked with Product Page.
Version 1.2: Supports Multi Languages. All hard-coded languages are removed. Now it supports all VirtueMart languages.
Compatibility: VirtueMart 1.1.3/1.1.4/1.1.5

Seemed to be about just what I needed, but - the module does not update prob. with Ajax enabled VM carts :(
The price is 7$, not 5$ as this side indicates.
Adding icons for links like "View cart" would be a suggestion when they figure out how to make it run along with Ajax.
If it had worked okay I've gladly given "Excellent" as I find this idea really useful.

This module does not work with Ajax enabled VM carts.
I know its not specified on their site, but I have purchased and installed it.
Only after installation did I find that you have to disable ajax in VM to get it to work 100%
I was only able to determine this by trolling the forums and finding several other users who had the same issue.
as of 09-11-09 this limitation was not posted on the site anywhere that I could see during pre-purchase
AJAX is there for a reason:
To improve the shopping continuity for the user.
this module DOES WORK but requires that AJAX be DISABLED in order for it to work 100%.
for me this was a deal breaker, as my high volume cart requires people be able to shop and add product to the cart seamlessly.
not be directed to the cart after adding each product.
its only $5.00us and it does work but it sets Virtuemart back 3 gens.
if you have a basic cart it may be okay. If you have a high volume cart and want to have the most seamless shopping experience for your users then dont buy it.

The Module can not get updated on the same page when Ajax Add to Cart function is enabled in the theme. You need to move the next page or continue shopping to see the result on the Mini Cart. IT WORKS EXACTLY AS SHOWN IN THE DEMO SITE.
If you want to have the Ajax Mini Cart update feature then you already have standard VirtueMart mini cart Module. Which comes in the original VirtueMart package and should be enough serve the purpose.
VMJ Modern Mini Cart Module is designed to provide many extra features such as the option to choose your own empty cart image, check-out button / check-out text, text size or you can also hide the cart image as per your need etc. It has the ability to shows max amount of details for the products added in cart with product image.
My English is not perfect, but I have to say to you all that this minicart is great. Also I bought the vmjeros theme... you have to see it... very nice to customize virtuemart. The admin is a nice person and gives a great support.

Im fairly new to VM and Joomla and needed a canned VM theme/shopping cart the looked nice and was easy to install and use. VM Junction has exactly that. Awesome looking presentation with great support. Had a couple "How to" questions and they were answered quickly and accurately.

I have been looking for this module for quite a long time now. Thanks. It gives me complete flexibility to choose my own Cart Image and Add to Cart Button. I have given a 5 star rating to this extension.
Also look for the VirtueMart theme on this site. Small in quantity but great in quality.
