IceVmCart is one the most requested Virtuemart modules by our valuable members at IceTheme. The scope of this module is simple. Use a smooth and usable way to update your shopping cart, so your site visitors can have the possibility to update their shopping cart on the fly, without waiting the page load each time that they add an item to their cart.
The IceVmCart is redistributed under the GPL license, so is free for use but note that for all our Joomla Extensions we provide support on our Forums

Good instructions on how to install. Make sure to save your original tpl file before you replace it.
Only thing I don't like is no 'X' to close the popup cart. If a customer accidentely clicks on it when it's an empty cart, the message about the empty cart pops up and stays there, there's no way to get rid of it.
I prefer the other free extension quick cart.

I have far too many extensions and plugins installed in my developer site(testng) and yet it installed pretty easy and quick. Till now no conflicts with any other extensions.
(I didn't use Ice templates, yet it worked fine... follow documentation, very important to make it work)

Good cart module! Nice and compact, just what my website needed! Updates in realtime, with a pleasing cart summary layout.
However, I can't give it 5 stars for two reasons:
1. Mootools 1.2 is not supported (but works with 1.1).
2. Upon installing the module, you are met with the following description: "Ice VM Cart Module is ONLY for IceTheme Club Members and can be used ONLY for IceTheme Templates". The module devs say that this isn't true and that it works just fine with any Joomla template. In this case, they really should remove this description as it is misleading.
Still, I'm pretty happy with the module, and even better, it's free.

If you plan to use IceTheme Templates this MIGHT be a great plugin. OTHERWISE dont waste your time like i have...next time please state the OBVIOUS!!!

This extension works well for me and looks good. I dont usually bother writing reviews but I am pleased with the module and since no-one else has commented they deserve it.
I tried others but they didnt work with my template. At first I was put off as no-one had reviewed this module, which is why I didnt go for it first off, however it works perfectly with my setup and looks good. I would also like to mention that it deserves an extra star for not making me waste my time registering (like most producers are doing nowadays). Nice one guys, thanks for the extension!
