- This extension requires registration to download.
Just start typing a product name, and you will see the results in a pop-up list.
It's using an intelligent search engine: You don't need to know the whole product name, it's enough to type a part of the text.
For example a product with difficult name: Acer EX5235- 902G25MN
Type: "acer 902g" or "x5235" ...
New in version 2.0.0 :
When you press Enter after you have entered the search words, it will loaded the search result page in VirtueMart.
New in version 2.1.0 :
Bug in category search fixed.
The search results are showed always on top.

Installation note
For using the AJAX Product Search, you must install the com_ajaxproductsearch componenet and mod_GI_ajaxproductsearch module.
This module deserves all the credit it can possibly get!

Also - support from Offlajn is in a league of its own. Extremely fast and precise feedback upon submitting ticket!
Tip: If you want to use the searchmodule together with Virtuemart, then don't forget to install the improved virtuemart search plugin

I bought the module today and couldnt get it to run. I sent in a support ticket at 9 pm an got a reaction without 10 minutes that the problem was solved. I was amazed! And not to forget, the module itself is excellent aswell, very well done!!

very nice looking virtuemart search ext. Very easy to install, even for me :-) The support is excellent and fast. Even when I asked for a customized option it was done straight away. I had a small problem with the module position, but this was regarding my template and not because of the module. Even this issue was solved by Janos.
I do suggest to buy it. I will try some other modulles as well.

This program is not what it seems. The above writer was correct you must hack your program to search the description. There is no support for this mod. I do not suggest buying it!

sorry but we didn't receive the mail, what you sent us.
If you read the description once again, you can see that:
"Just start typing a product name, and you will see the results in a pop-up list." So this product search in product names.
But, we are planning in next version, to add this plus feature,(to search in product description) too.
And of course, if you bought the product, you can upgrade it for free.

Easy to setup, works on Joomla 1.5.17 fine.
Nice looking search system.
The module itself doesn't search long or short description but this can be fixed by modifying
site.com/components/com_ajaxproductsearch/ajaxproductsearch.php
Once this was changed it became an awesome Virtuemart Search extension.
