Introduction

Extension Specific

Want to restrict Joomla 1.5 - 2.5 site logins to users with current CiviCRM memberships?

  • Get this

This Joomla Authentication plugin does this:

* Use the Joomla user table to authenticate against and then
* check that that user has a current CiviCRM membership record
* Sets the Joomla Access Level depending on the users Membership Status and / or Membership Type
* Allows users to login with either their username or email address
* Redirects to the configured location based on potential results

CiviCRM is a Constituent Relationship Management System for Joomla! Primarly targeted to the non-profit and public sectors, it will allow you to very effectively manage your organization's contacts, and begin to build a better connection between your CMS and your constituents.

Very useful

The website has a version for Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. I used the Joomla 1.5 version. Getting CiviCRM/Joomla extensions working seems to be a tricky thing few developers manage to do it. This is a rare example where it worked out of the box. The code was clear enough and documented enough that I was even able make my own improvements. Thanks

I had high hopes for this plugin. However, I've been unable to get it to work at all w/ J! 2.5. Properly entered, current users are denied access. I've posted in the forums but haven't been able to get any response. I'm hoping this problem will be addressed soon.
