Extension Specific, Xmap Extensions

Since I no longer have enough time to track the further development of Joomla and K2, I have decided that I will no longer maintain this extension. If someone else will take over the maintenance I would add a redirection to his site. The download of the latest version will be available until further notice. However, there will be no new versions.

You can find new versions for Joomla 2.5 and above on this website: http://www.z-index.net/de/joomla-xmap-plugins.html

This is an extension for the K2 component (version 2.5 or higher) from Joomlaworks and XMAP 2.0.

If you are using Joomla 1.5 please use version 0.96 of this extension (see http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension-specific/xmap-extensions/10297).

Version 1.10 (2012/06/19): URLs of K2 items are now more SEF-friendly.

Version 1.07 (2011/11/14): Bugfix: The option "Follow Subcategories" did not work as expected. After the installation of the plugin update please check whether the sitemap contains the expected items. If not modify this setting.

Version 1.06 (2011/11/03)
Bugfix: PHP error is no categories or users were selected in some K2 menu item types

Version 1.05 (2011/11/02)
Bugfix: sitemap did not contain K2 items of menu items that were using multiple K2 categories.

Version 1.01 (2011/09/27)
Bugfix: K2 items only appeared in the HTML sitemap and not in the XML version.

Version 1.00 (2011/09/22)
New version to support Joomla 1.7, XMAP 2.0 and K2 2.5

It's a good extensions, especially because I'm a big fan of K2 CCK. But because this extensions haven't update to support Joomla 3.0 and Joomla 3.1, it makes difficult for me to make a website based on K2 in Joomla 3.0

It's a shame, though

All good!

They have done a good job in making this a useful and worthwhile product.

Partial sitemap

Posted on 01 September 2012

The plugin only indexes the articles contained in the categories on the homepage and in the menus of type 'latest articles by (one or more) users or groups'. The vast majority of articles are excluded from the sitemap.

Owner's reply: Hi, due to the nature of XMAP the sitemap can only contain items that directly or indirectly accessible via menu items.
If the missing items are assigned to subcategories please check that the option "Follow subcategories" ist set to "yes". If this does not help please send me message or use the support Forum on my site.
