great extension

Posted on 03 October 2014

I use a combination of the free and paid extension. During a recent version update I experienced a minor issue on the free extension. Gave the developer access to the site and they resolved it straight away despite it being the free extension. Nothing in life is free....someone is always paying for it. Great support and highly recommended extension. thanks...

Once I was using and upgrading it was ok and very useful but them for an error I needed to Upgrade manually. To no lose the data I asked the support and they oriented me to "keep uninstall data" which worked on previous version but in 2.3 all my precious precious precious data just disappeared and I am sure the option was active. Well, what can we expect from a developer that do not keep a minor attention about the valuable history of the customer. Also every time it keep asking for upgrade the free version even if you have the Pro Version. Until yesterday I was your fan but now, after losing all the stats I understand why a single ticket support takes so long.

Owner's reply: Well, I'm sad to hear that. We'll always advising customers to backup the DB tables before any this kind of operation.
We've added a warning now into the Settings to prevent this in future.
We've introduced a priority support option which prioritizes support tickets - this is why your ticket could have been in the queue for a longer time.
Still, there is a live chat which works for simple questions at least 16 hours/day. Please try to understand that upgrading from prehistoric versions is out of scope of our very limited resources.
In version 2.3 this upgrade mechanism got much more evolved so it's more straightforward.
Regarding database tables - please check with your web hosting provider - most web hosting providers do DB backups on daily / weekly basis so that you can restore it back.
I'm quite sad about this rating from your side, cause you bought the version long time ago and since then we've been providing you with full support for every possible question without asking you for a single penny.
Our advice and offering upgrades for free for you was meant in a good way but turned against us in this case.

We tried the Pro version on our site and was impressed with the level of detail available but decided to go with the hosted version (€1.99 per month)that offered us more speed. Excellent support and Highly recommended.

Very good...

Great Product

A very good extension for Joomla site statistics. I found it easy to use and install. The reports have all the data needed to report on how the site is doing. I would like to see more graphically appealing reports and the Support team say they are working on them. A word on the Support team: They have been excellent. I had a minor issue with downloading the software after the purchase...they jumped on it and had me working in no time. Nice job and a great product.

Excellent

I've tried ExtraWatch in the free version first. After a few days, I was happy to get all the information I had hoped for. So I decided to get the Pro version. Now I have even more results, and it is an amazing value for the price. Thanks to everyone involved in the production.

I work in data analytics for a living and ExtraWatch Pro is a great tool for your website. This product works perfectly, and they provide quick support and response times. Great job!

Highly Impressed

I am a person of few words. Either something works well or it does not. I have not had chance or needed to contact support as of yet. So this bodes well for me.

ABOVE AND BEYOND SUPPORT!

Posted on 31 December 2013

I have to disagree with previous reviews about the lack of support. I have been a Extrawatch user for years back when they were Joomlawatch, and because I loved their free version so much, I felt that their PRO version was completely worth it, let alone how CHEAP they are offering it.

I had to contact their support the other day, FIRST to have my active domain changed to a new domain, and they changed it NO PROBLEM, where they could have easily said that each domain needs a new purchase.

SECOND, for some weird reason, I was having a weird clash with a component that my site is dependent on and Extrawatch which would 'break' my site. After first talking with Matej via chat and his finding that my issue was quite unique, he then spent hours working on my site. He couldn't fix it that evening, and so again started on it again in the morning. I am thinking that he spent over 6 hours working HARD on the issue... didn't stop or give up until it WORKED, keeping me posted via chat or ticket every step of the way.

NO ONE gets support like that for under $15 USD... NO ONE!

I am BEYOND impressed, and thrilled to support such a FANTASTIC extension, and I can rest at night that if I ever happen to come across issues in the future that it will be happily and swiftly dealt with by their very dedicated and knowledgeable developers.

Would I recommend this extension?... you bet!

Well done, boys.... well done!

good extension, weak support

The extension is good, but there were a few bugs in it. I made a request to fix these. One of theme was fixed, another wasn't since more than a month.

This module displays last subversion (SVN) commit log entries. Useful if you are a developer or if you maintain some SVN repository and you want to show the most recent history to your clients. It uses cache folder to store the retrieved and parsed commit history so it doesn't have to query the SVN server every time.
