Site Management

The Header Tags plugin gives you more control over the heading tags (h1-h6) in your website. The plugin searches for existing heading tags within the selected content area and handles them according to your specifications. So if want all the H4 tags in your site to be changed to H3, you can!

  • Get this

The default behaviour after installing the plugin, is checking if there is a H1 tag in the output of the component. If none are found, the plugin changes the first H2 tag into a H1.

The content area is where the plugin searches for heading tags. The component output is like the main content section of your website. This way the plugin ignores any heading tags which may exist in your template or modules. If you want to control ALL the header tags of your website, select entire page.

For each tag you can specify if the tag is mandatory, so the tag should exist at least once. If it doesn't, you can select from which tag the first one should be changed.

You can also select how many times a tag is allowed, and to what the excess tags should be changed to.

Exclude (new feature!):
Sometimes the plugins finds more heading tags than you'd want to handle, and this can be excluded but therefor the tags must have some signature. For now the plugin supports excluding by either a class or an id attribute. To exclude tags, enter the value for the selected attribute, you can specify multiple values to test against. Any values entered horizontaly devided by a space must ALL exist in the attribute, any value enter on a new line may EITHER exist for the attribute value to be excluded.
I.e. if you enter on one line 'classa classb', only the heading tags which contains BOTH classes (in any order) will be excluded. If you enter classa and classb on two lines, the tags containing either classa OR classb will be excluded.

A big thank you to everyone leaving these great reviews! It's awesome and keeps us motivated!

Good extension

If you are working with K2, this extension is must have. I haven't had to overide components, just added extension and it worked fine. Good work!!!

Posted on 01 August 2014

This extension is one of the MUST HAVE of Joomla.

I'm using it with Phoca Download which by default makes H3 title, thanks to this extension, I don't need to enter the source code of the component.

Thank you for your great work.

Great Extension

What a great extension. I usually have to jump through hoops and employ script tricks to concert my Article titles to h1 tags, but this extension did it with ease. Thanks so much for the great extension.

The easiest thing to use.!!!!

Sebastiaan was a big help in the forum, I still can not believe the quality of the support (did I mention it was free?), very descriptive. I highly recommend this extension. Like someone else already said: "SHOULD be a standard joomla function", thank you joomla specialist! You rock!

First, this plugin works straight from the box, excellent.

Second, if you use K2 you need this! Category titles are rendered in K2 as h2 and Item Titles as h3. This plugin has resolved the tedious solution I had implemented on other sites.

Great extension

Simple & Effective

Posted on 19 June 2013

Running Joomla 3.0.4, all we wanted was for all Article Titles to have H1 tags instead of H2 tags. This plugin does exactly that by default (and no more unless specified) by simply enabling the plugin and saving (nothing else needed). Without this plugin, the options in Joomla make absolutely NO SENSE. IE Try turning off Article Titles at the Article level. The option is there but doesn't obey. Ok, let's try via the Menu Item instead but lets choose Page Display Options. WTF JOOMLA!!! That sets an H1 tag ontop of an H2 tag but if you turn Article Title off via menu, nothing shows. Makes absolutely no sense and seems broken to me. Many thanks to the Author of this plugin. Simple and Effective. Very much appreciated.

The extension worked great for me. The support is fast and very friendly.

Use it!

The Simple Mobile Detection plugin does a simple check if the client is on a mobile device. If so, it stores this in the User State and you can check anyware in your code if your dealing with a mobile client. In the update 2.0.5 we've solved the Joomla caching problem, and added a new feature (beta) where you can select which detection system you can use! There are great mobile detection systems out there, which are much more advanced then the default plugin behavior. We've added two for now, the Mobile_Detect class by And MobileESP by In the plugin there is new tab called Detection System where you can select which detection system you would like to use. That's it, nothing else to configure! For the more advanced users, the detecting class itself is available in the user state $app->getUserState('cmobile.detection.system); More will be placed here Note, that Simple Mobile Detection plugin is not part of these projects. The usage and terms&conditions will remain the same. Please refer to the project sites to read more about it. New in version 2.0: Mobile content in articles! We have finally added the content switch for articles to the plugin. It is still BETA but you can use it for simple setups. In the settings of the plugin you have a tab called Content Switch. Here you can set if you want the feature to be enabled. When enabled the plugin will search through content articles looking for {IfMobile}...{EndIfMobile} tags. Any content between these tags will be displayed only on mobile devices! Go to the extension page for a more detailed view of how to use mobile content switch in articles. The Mobile Detection plugin uses the default Joomla Browser class and extends it with detection for iPad, iPhone, iPod and Android devices. The Joomla iPad detection and iPhone or iPod detection will store on what device the client currently is viewing the website. The Joomla Android detection is a little more advanced and also tries to collect more information about the device, like the model and the Android build. Here you can find example code: Also it contains features to redirect mobile users to a different URL and set a different template for mobile devices. Set viewport meta-tag (new feature) You can select to set a viewport meta-tag for mobile devices. It has the recommended content 'width=device-width, initial-scale=1' set by default, but it's also possible to change the value. Development mode You can set the plugin in development mode to test if the mobile settings work. You can either the plugin in development mode for specific ip addressen, or set it to always for all browsers. Per device options With the per device options you're able to set specific options for a device separately. Currently the plug

The SOAP Integration extension integrates the NuSOAP library within Joomla and makes it possible to create your own SOAP webservices with WSDL support. You create webservices based on custom created Joomla SOAP Plugins with your own functions. Creating a Joomla SOAP Plugin To create a Joomla SOAP plugin you need to create a Joomla plugin of type SOAP. In the plugin you create your functions and you register the functions you want to be available in the webservice. You can download an example plugin, which also creates a demo webservice in the component so you can do some tests. Download the Hello World SOAP plugin here: Complex Types Support You can also add your own complex types to your webservice within the same plugin. Download the Hello Complex World SOAP plugin here: Creating a webservice In the component you can create a new webservice in the Webservices section. For each webservice you can specify how you want the webservice to behave. For instance, you can specify which of the installed and enabled SOAP plugins will make up your webservice. Thus, the registered functions from the selected plugins, will be the functions available in your webservice. If you don't select specific plugins, all the registered functions will be part of the webservice. You can also specify an authentication method. You can manually enter a username and password, or select an existing Joomla user or even an access level. Note: This is still in beta and if you find bugs or have a great idea please submit them at the website:

The new version is now also available for Joomla 2.5! And has user specific PIN codes! With the Alarm System extension for Joomla, an extra layer of security is added right after a user logs into the administrator. After a successful login, the user is presented with a PIN screen to disable the alarm system. When a user enters the correct PIN, the alarm will be disabled. When a user enters too many incorrect PINs, or doesn't provide the correct PIN within the given time frame, the alarm system will be triggered. When the alarm goes off, be default the user will be logged out. If configured, a new log entry will be added to track which users have triggered the alarm system. For now this extension offers pretty basic functions only. We are open for your suggestions and tips to improve and expand. Please share your ideas at our forum or leave a review and tell us what you like about it and what is still missing! Suggestion forum page: Alarm System configurable options: General options Under general options you can enable the alarm and configure the settings. You can choose how many seconds a user is granted to disable the alarm system and how many incorrect PIN numbers are accepted before the alarm is triggered. By default the system allows users 30 seconds and 3 incorrect PIN entries. PIN settings You can select the source of correct PIN codes. You can select to use a System wide PIN, which means all users will have to enter the same PIN. You can also select to use user specific PIN codes. This allows every user to have it's own PIN code. The user PIN codes are managed by an admin with enabled access to edit PIN codes. These rights are configured in the component options. Alarm trigger settings Here you can specify if you want a user to be logged out upon triggering the alarm. Logging There is also a logging system for tracking what happens with the alarm. The system can log if an incorrect PIN is entered, if a correct PIN is entered (alarm disabled) or if the alarm is triggered. It also tries to gather additional information, such as which user has caused an event, and which incorrect PIN was entered User specific PIN codes From the control panel there is an option for User PIN codes. Here you can specify for each user if they should have the system wide PIN, or a specific user PIN. So you could have a couple of users with a specific PIN code, while the rest is using the system wide PIN code. If the system cannot find a specific PIN code for a user, it will fall back to the system wide PIN. For that reason it's recommended to always set a system wide PIN code. What else? The Alarm System also supports subsystems to configure your own actions in case of alarm system events. You can create and install your own Joomla plugin handling responses when the alarm is triggered and or successfully disabled. We ha

With the System Messages plugin you control how and where Joomla system messages are displayed. To see it in action, goto the demo link and you'll find a Message Demo section. You can select what kind of message, and enter the content of the message you want to display How does it work? After installing and enabling the plugin, go to the Basic options section. Here you choose which position on the screen you prefer for system messages to be displayed. Select Top, Center or Specify. When you select Specify, you enter the desired values for position and size in the Specify section. Adjusting size is also enabled for Center position. If you want to keep your messages at the top on the same place, you can select to Dock the messages. This fixes their position on the screen. The message can be set to Auto hide. If you want to automatically hide messages, select after how many seconds the messages must disappear. If you want to keep your messages open, set Auto hide messages to No. And if you want to use special effects on showing and hiding messages set Use effects to yes. Center messages fade-in/out and Top messages slide-in/out. Usually a spot is reserved in the Joomla template for message display. When using the Joomla Messages plugin, this results in displaying the same messages twice. The plugin has a setting for removing messages automatically from your webpage. In Joomla 2.5 the plugin can access the message queue and clear it, preventing messages showing up twice. In Joomla 3.x, this is no longer possible. The plugin retrieves the same output as the messages in the webpage and replaces it with an empty string. Of course this isn't the best way to go, but at least it works for now. Should you have any thoughts, solutions or better ideas to fix this, please share it on our forum. Using your own styles The plugin supports a simple styling system. All you have to do is upload your own style sheet into the plugin media folder. This is located in /media/cmessages/css/styles. In the plugin settings, your file should show up for selection so your own style sheet is used for displaying messages. You can use the default.css of the plugin as a template. For advanced users; you can also select to render the output of the messages by Joomla, if you for example have a messages.php in the html folder of your template and would like to use that output. Please let us know if you have any requests to make sure this plugin suits your needs!
