This extension is great! It works right out of the box and I recently updated it and the new version works quite well with the latest Joomla Release. Thanks for a great tool. I hated taking my customers to GoDaddy.com to find a domain name. Now I have to figure out how to tie it all in for a professional domain registration service directly from my site.

This is a neat product but it does need work. I know it's a "beta" but hey, if you're gonna charge for it, "beta" is just an excuse IMHO.

The problem that I have is that it is not an out-of-the-box solution that you might expect when paying for something. The demo is NOT what you get without either knowing CSS or paying additional. If you are a whiz at CSS then you will have no problem but if you are like me and use Joomla and its extensions BECAUSE I don't know anything about CSS (among other things) then you can expect to be told to "upgrade" at an additional fee to make it work like it probably should out of the box.

For example, I created a simple menu item to check domains and the page loads but none of the extensions and prices lineup correctly.

I think it's a good extension I just might warn anyone who does not know CSS to stay away for a while.

Hello I recommend this program as they have the best best support, whitin hours they solved your problem and make modifcations as you want, also with other problems they help you..

Having tried all the current extensions out there this one stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Especially as I needed a wide variety of TLD's for users to choose from.

The module links to the component and can bring extra flexibility in your configuration.

I got a bit confused initially as to which files I should be downloading. It took a bit of figuring out that the 1.5 versions are currently only available to paid subscribers. But for a few quid/bucks it was well worth it - not least for the excellent support I got in a CSS problem I had.

If you want a basic domain checker that searches just a few domains, you may be happy going for a non-commercial exension. But if you want ultimate flexibility (and not forgetting the Ajax performance!), then definitely go for this one!!!

Could not believe that this was such a versatile ext. with such superb support. I will always remain thankful for responding my tickets in less than 30 mins.

These people are so marvelous that they even assisted me in rectifying many other problems on my website.

This is one of my favorite extensions, works and installs right out of box. I recommend this over any other domain search plug in.

I have been searching for an extension like this, which not only looks good on my website, but also works perfectly. And I have found it: Ajax Whois.
After some problems to get look-ups done for the co.za domain I have found immediate and effective support from the people at softuff.org.

I've been using this extension for over 3 months now and think it's brilliant. The way it starts to search for the domain as you type makes it very quick and keeps the user interested for longer. I also think the way the WhoIs information pops up when a domain is already registered looks amazing.

This extension is great and I would recommend it to anyone, it wasn't even difficult for me to install, and if it was the support fourm is very helpful anyway!

Easy to install, setup and configure and it does the job of ajax function without loading the page. It supports many as you can add other domains extensions.

I have been trying to get hold of best of the best scripts fro Domain lookup for my website to enable clients to search for the availability of the domain they eant to register.

After I searched for the joomla components which can handle the domain search in short time, I found not better components than the AjaxWhois!

It is easy to install and clear instructions and guidance are available when required by the component owner. As the name suggests, it is lightening fast to give results of the searched domains. The easiest configuration from the back-end is an plus point for this component.

I must recommend all new and existing users to come together applaud for such a wonderful contribution to the community by Softuff.org.

Install was simple, there are many setup possibilities, it was easy to configure, there's plenty of help available in the softuff forums, it works great for a beta product... but the best part is the searching for domains without a page load, just type and watch the results appear!

I was about to download this because it looks great, but while checking out the demo on the developers site...it doesn't work....

I checked a domain and it said it was "unavailable". Out of curiosity, I check the same domain on whois.ws and guess what...it was "available".

If this wasn't the case, I'd give an excellent rating because it looks GREAT, but looks aren't everything.
