The plugin version allows you to insert Google Maps in a content item or article.
If you want the Google Maps to appear in a module position, then use this module.
Very Important: This module makes use of the googleMaps plugin. So please make sure you have installed this plugin too for this module to work.
Supports both Joomla 1.0 and native 1.5.
I tired a few map modules that all could not do the one thing I needed which was have multiple maps in an article that worked with the "get directions" button. Not only did their forum have the answer to everything I needed to get the style of the map the way I wanted it, when I posted about the functionality I needed, they made a new version!! I happily paid the 10 dollars for the pro version. Once you download and install this you can go to their website and get the "GoogleDirections" and "GoogleDirections to Here." I have checked my site in 4 browsers and it works great!
Install went smooth. Enabled the plugin, and added the appropriate content to my page per the instructions on the author's website. Handy set of screen options for the plugin (height and width in total, and width of the directions column, and then finally your desired zoom factor, and google maps api). It's quick to set up, easy to implement, and it works! Support was available by email (response came in a couple hours). Author's website has all the info you need including information on obtaining a google maps api. Thanks to the author!
