Full Video Plugin can be used to embed youtube and google video, .avi, .mov, .flv, .swf and any other video type.
This plugin has a very nice idea: to provide a simple player for your videos and imbed them into your content. However it still needs quite a bit of fine-tuning.
First of all the way it gets your pages address uses as far as I am able to tell an administrator-address and later replaces the word administrator with another...
Which is what I believe to be the reason it does not work on a local server (the source-text reveals a jumbled up address) which in turn means: no local testing possible...
Second, after installing it on a live test-page the plugin seams to only work correctly in Internet-explorer. In Fire Fox while the player-window had the right size the video within it did not also the controls for the player flashed up for a second after loading but disappeared completely after that. In Opera only the shape of the player-window appeared, no video was played, no controls.
All of this was tested with a wmv that plays fine on other players.
So for now I suggest you use a different plugin.

I have tried to recreate some of your problems described w/o success: the plugin has been developed and then tested in local but It works as it does on the server.
Furthermore wmv is one of the supported file type by the plugin, again with my test I haven't seen any problem.
