I was looking for the best way to aggregate numerous RSS feeds onto my Joomla 1.5 site. I tried a few different solutions and researched many others. obFullTextRSS, to me, is by far the best solution.

With any of these RSS aggregator/article creators you need a cronjob that tells your server to download the latest info from your RSS feeds, obFullTextRSS is the only extension I found that requires no effort to set this up. So far I have not had any problems with this feature. This alone make this extension worth buying.

You setup each RSS feed separately which gives you some flexibility in customization. I do wish that you could alter the default settings as this would make it faster to setup many feeds.

I did ask one question of support and they responded quickly.

I would definitely buy this extension again.

They are wonderful, they solved for me issues after issues. They are the best developer team with I ever worked.

I now have the latest news from all over the internet displayed on website pulling more and more customer to my site.

this is also a good way of making sure there is new content on your site daily.

Componenent is easy to install and configure and best of all, it works perfectly, as they describe. You can import any feed and customize some details to show in your web as you want.

And if you have some doubt or problem, support is fast, kind and very helpfull. They resolved to me a minor bug with one feed in 24h.

I am a newbie to Joomla and took the pain of J1.7 for hopefully an easier future upgrade path.

I needed RSS and K2 capability and this was one of the only plugins I could find that was supported on J1.7.

The basic component installed straight away and worked like a dream on Joomla items.

The K2 plugin installed but threw up some PHP errors on use.

I raised a ticket with the guys at foobla who installed a fix for me immediately and then released an upgrade K2 plugin within a couple of days.

Automated CRON job works perfectly from the component interface - no fidding with server files. For those not familiar with this it is a way to automate calling the feed process to execute.

Highly configurable component.

foobla's ticketing service works well.

A reasonably expensive plugin by today's standards, but I don't mind that given the excellent support.

I use this product everyday in-line with obsocialsubmit, I get in my RSS feeds in check them then post to twitter. This has truly optimised the way I do things and saves me hours each day. As well as that it is helping to drive traffic from twitter to my site. I had issues setting this up but the support was fast and extremely helpful and to date I have pulled in over 2000 rss feeds and posted them on my blog and to twitter. Contrary to what others have said, I have received excellent support for this component. I was in communications with Thong for a while. Even though it was way past his bed time, he was calm and assured me the next person Kha would take it from where he left off and make sure I get the support I needed. They've gone far and beyond to respond and have even check my backend to see what other problems I might be having.

This really is a great component and could only could be even better with future upgrades. Good job foobla

I tried 4-5 different extensions to pull content from RSS feeds into my site, and this one was by far the best.

It actually worked as it was supposed to, and made my life a lot easier.

The extension works pretty well and does the job perfecly. On the other hand, support tends to be quite slow when it comes to solve issues....
DOES NOT WORK ON ZOO. If you want it to work on Zoo, you have to add an extra 29$ for the specifi addon. Unfortunately, the addon does not work and you won't get a refund, which is my case. 'Support' tried fixing 3 times the addon to work with Zoo and despite the fact that it still does not work foobla does not refund the money. Really awful experience...

It is not normal to pay for component with no support !

I am like other since begginning, flexi-content plugin don't work, still need to bind content in flexi-content.I post ticket since 7 days and no answer...
If you look for one component to display rss in content, choose someone else because you will be alone if problems.

for few days after installing this component all of my website that was installed this component are Suspended. i submitted 2 tickets but not answer yet. what i have to do. to server i test it and both Suspended my website. why support team don't answer?

I got this add, but got some questions about install and use. There is no manual.
So i submit a support ticket.
But they don't answer them.
So very poor on support.

I have spent a small fortune of this type of component. Amongst others, I have tried Article-Gnerator, RSS2Content,and Feedbingo.

This simply does what it says on the tin and is very accurate.

I am NOT in anyay shape or form a Joomla expert, I am more of an enthusiastic hobbiest. This was soooo simple to setup. Since I am also using K2 in web site am presently working on I also had the added "hardship" of getting it too work with K2. To do so, having tested the main compnent and satisfied it worked well I bought the plugin - obFTRSS - to make it work with K2.

Setting up FullTextRss without using K2 was a breeze and as I said was very accurate. I only had one problem and that was down to my lack of knowledge AND not reading properly. Basically I wasnt getting articles even though I could see they should be getting downloaded with the keywords I was using. A support call was duly made. Less than 24 hrs later I got the answer from Tu. Basically I had entered the keywords in the wrong format. Even though it was my fault for not reading properly Tu didnt make me feel stupid or simply direct me to the answer - He answered it in full and gave a more comprehennsive answer in way of examples.

The K2 plug in - Well that is REALLY hard!!! I mean after installing it I had to create a Category and then in the RSS feed section choose the Category from a drop down menu.

I had the component AND the plugin up and running and doing the business in less than an hour, and I mean WELL less.

If you need this type of component this is a MUST HAVE !!! If you want to use it with K2, the plugin is ALSO a must have.

The products are great and the support just as good.

Am off to look over some of there other components now !!!!

Having tried RSS2Content and Article Generator, I can report that this extension is by far the most robust and most powerful. There is an enormous distinction between importing a sentence or two of an article from an RSS feed and actually importing the entire article. This is the only component that does it, and it does it well.

Integrating Cron Job into the component itself also saves enormous hassle. Every component handles this differently.

Pulling full text articles regardless of the feed is a complex task with many "moving parts." It is not uncommon to have template conflicts, CSS conflicts, or other such issues. It is easy to point the finger to extension developers, but often times it just takes a few quick fixes.

I had a couple of issues with my template, and the developer jumped in and fixed the issues for me without any trouble. Love the product. SEO traffic is like night and day.

It works - sort of.

Compared with other RSS importers, it has greater functionality, ease of use and accuracy of import.

However, the CRON function does not work (I am using the latest version 1.5.8)). There is also an annoying floating window with hints and tips. It cannot be switched off - even when you change the parameters. The only way it can be altered is to save the parameters every time you change to a different option within the Component. The annoying window then changes position.

The hints in this system are already on the Component website anyway, so it is pointless.

In order to improve this Component two things need to happen:

1. Cron must be made to work
2. The hints and tips window must be eliminated

Do that and I'll change my rating to 5 stars.

This component is the only one can get full Rss feeds content without thirst party software/site. Excellent! All photos and text import success to articles. Easy create new categorys on the fly. But still some bugs need to update for next version:
1.Meta tags have bug. It doesn't save entered keywords to database. After Article saved, meta tags all blank. Meta tags is a must have for SEO.
2.Can't change photos saving path. Auto keep in "images/stories/blog/wp-content/uploads".

Recommended :
- Strip HTML Tags right now only support "a, img" If we has more than that will be perfect.
- We need the option use to trip out a paragraph of code. I can vote 10/10 if we have this feature. Because after we grab full Rss content, some unexpected text/paragraph of code will be include and repeat in each article. You can't missing this point.

Hope author will add more feature to component. we are waiting for new version.

I have been testing this Automatic Articles extension for our company newsletter. So far so good.
The support has been excellent and fast. Keep up the good work.

When I first started using Joomla! a little more than a year ago, I really loved the mod_feed display as it gave my sites some nice keyword rich content and updated with the RSS feed automatically. So when I came across this component I really thought that it sounded too good to be true. But after using it now for a few weeks, it has proven to be a real SEO tool for my site/s. I plan to use it on all sites because it works exactly as described. Anyone that has any problems with this extension needs to check there server configs. As long as your servers are optimized for Joomla, you will have no problems with this component. And if you run into any problem, Foobla support will get right in there and fix it for you. Imagine how great would be to have a content producing tool for your Joomla! site with full articles including images, and GET THIS COMPONENT! You will not be sorry. Just make sure the RSS feeds that you want to use are valid as per the RSS 2.0 Specification.
